Even if they get him, I am not sold. I dont think they have enough other pieces.

    About two years too late?

Carmelo & Dolan combined to **** a decent rebuilding plan. The fact that they're targeting Felton - when they had Felton this time last year - means ur doing it wrong.

The Knicks are screwed. I didn't know they gave Chandler 14 mill per year.

Next season, Nash won't be enough to get them over the hump.

Having a play-making PG who can shoot the ball would be a nice addition for them, but they'll never be successful with D'Antoni as their coach and two crappy defenders as their lead dogs.

I've thought about this move for a while for the Knicks, and I think it makes sense. Nash and Amare reunited under D'antoni, plus Nash gets to finally compete with some talent and possibly get the ring that he deserves. Plus the Knicks are in desperate need of guard help, and Nash would be perfect to run the offense. I hope this happens.

They can target whoever they want AFTER they give us that draft pick. :)

    Nash
    Fields
    Carmelo
    Stoudemire
    Chandler

    6th man: Shumpert

The real issue w/ NY is their lack of quality depth. Nash, Carmelo, Stoudemire, and Chandler each have 10+ seasons under their belts, so they need to focus on acquiring up-and-coming 2-way talent. Easier said than done, but they may have to buy their way into the '12 draft (1st-rounder belongs to HOU, top-5 protected; 2nd goes to PHX, top-55 protected) and search for a diamond in the rough a la Parsons. The window of opportunity is going to close very abruptly on this team b/c they're going to be heavily dependent on aging, injury-prone has-beens, so they need to push all of their chips into the middle... the Celtics are the perfect example of a vet-dominated power crashing HARD. I'd say NY has 2-3 more years to make it happen. If not, they set up a garage sale to entertain interested title contenders and the rebuilding process fires up again...

Next thing you know, they'll want to bring back Q-Rich and acquire Boris Diaw.
