If Kevin Garnett did not make Minnesota a desired destination, these guys won't.

Rubio is a different animal than KG. KG was was the man that shouldered the scoring load. Rubio is the PG with great court vision, that allows his teammates to take on the scoring load.

Probably better to look at percentages than raw numbers. Toyota Center has one of the smaller capacities in the NBA.

The Rockets are one of those teams that rely on the corporate dollars.

LOL this is funny, who wants to watch the freakin' Kings? That's why there's low attendance, its a Kings game. If you looked at the average of the last few home games it was actually 14k, so no I don't its the Rockets sucking and being uninteresting. As the team builds more chemistry and the wins start coming more people will attend games.

Also DD can you please stop mentioning Rubio and the Wolves in almost every topic? Minny is 4-7 with a much weaker schedule so its not like they're world beaters or anything. Rubio and Love isn't exactly CP3 and Blake Griffin.

Dude that mentality is in 90% of cities with teams. LA couldn't keep a football team and Dodger fans leave after the 6th inning. In most cases it comes down to having an attractive product.

As long as they are on TV, I don't care what the attendance is.

I think it has more to do with a) Texas is a football state and b) there are far less football games than there are basketball games.

If you like football and want to see the local team, you've only got a relatively few games to choose from to go see...so those games are more likely to be full up, or so I'd think.

tell me the cities that sellout for their NBA squads win or lose.

expensive tickets + mediocre product = low attendance...that's true virtually everywhere

it's also because the "gameday experience" the Texans provide so far surpasses the experience of going to a Rockets game, it's ridiculous.

yep...markets like Salt Lake and OK City..where they're the only game in town...provide sellouts no matter what, for the most part.

now compare us to other cities with multiple pro sports teams. Dallas gets the label of being a fantastic sports market despite the fact I could get Mavs tickets as a promotion for buying a few tacos at Taco Bueno in the early 90's....and despite the fact they've never ONCE drawn 3 million fans for the Rangers...not even after their first WS appearance.

Twolves? really? they haven't sold even 80% of capacity for the last 4 years. They had 1 sellout this year so far...they had 2 all of last year...and they didn't sell out one game the year before that!

No team in the NBA doctors attendance numbers better than the Knicks.

Mets surpass Knicks at doctoring attendance figures...but it would not surprise me at all to see the Knicks fans support them the same way Cubs fans support the Cubs. Those are rare historical exceptions.

Congratulations to the Mets, who successfully have taken over the lead in New York for fabricating attendance figures.

This was no easy accomplishment, because the Knicks have been piping numbers for several years now, pretending they had a string of sellouts when there were tickets available at the window and empty seats galore. The James Dolan era has produced more imaginary spectators than any in memory.
