I'm impressed with how well he moves his feet as a 6'10" footer. He is able to guard Durant looser and still contest his shot. This really makes Durant harder to draw fouls. Also, he is a plus to our rebound which we have been ask bud to do for long!

The reason why Parsons is starting and Morris is in D-league is because Chandler doesn't need the ball to be effective. He rebounds, hustles, and can impact the game without having to worry about how he would fit with Scola and Martin. He is a like a white-battier without the incredible cerebral defense.
Morris is a better player but as a rookie would not get the amount of plays that he needs to impact the game. As a SF, I think he has the ability to get his shot off when the game is winding down; either by posting up or shooting over guys from mid range. He needs to work on his handles so that he can drive effectively to the basket. If he does this, then he will be a player in the mold of Pierce.

Pierce moves well without the ball (probably not as well these days) - that's something MMo hasn't mastered yet. He needs to learn how to use screens and the pick and roll before he can be effective scoring.

    No, Walton isn't very athletic.

Closer to Lamar Odom because he can do a little bit of everything.

Luke Walton is a good passer and he is a good mid range shooter. Luke Walton even has more rings than lebron. Lamar Odom to Parsons is a little bit to overrated

I know some poster are excited about Marcus Morris, but these comparisons are mild at best, and quite ridiculous at worst. Alot of posters do not realize how polished Pierce was coming out of college and how NBA-ready he was. Though, I know with Pierce (and sometimes Melo/Glenn Robinson), that alot of posters cling to those analogies, because those players have similar builds and shooting ability. I can agree on those accounts, but a Paul Pierce type of player is stretching a little.

Because, Pierce is one of the most complete NBA small forwards in history. He's a deadly outside shooter, as much as he is a slasher with the basketball, finishing strong at the rim and collecting free throws, like Easter eggs. While, he has one of the better post games in the league for his career. Good all around offensive player. But, defensively, he has become an excellent defender, especially at the latter half of his career.

Again, we are talking about another project player, like Thabeet, Hill, Williams, and even Patterson. There's alot of waiting and seeing, but it's kind of eyebrow raising to have so many project players, who were drafted fairly early in the draft. You really do not know what to expect with some of these players, even after a few seasons. "Could" or "Will be" is a common word used for our higher picks and project players. You can't expect rookie players to come right in and contribute alot, right way. Though at the same time, you cannot expect vast improvement out of every player.

With Parsons, pretty much everything, is uphill, being such a low draft choice to begin with, while the expectations are nil. Whatever he does in the NBA, he'll never be a bust or wasted pick. A steady 2nd rounder who is does show alot of starter potential. He's off to a good start.

Gotta give Mchale credit for starting Parons and Morey for drafting him.

Did Parsons put numbers up like this in college?

Very impressive at NBA level thus far.

I don't know his line, but he was a team player and had the most impact. Didn't necessarily mean he scored the most.

In college Parsons put up decent numbers but was on a team with 2 guards that chucked the rock like nobody's business. Kenny Boyton and Irving Walker took all the shots but Parsons was the SEC Player of the Year despite this.

He is an athletic stat stuffer. Wont be a star, not a great shooter, plays good D, but a solid contributor at the NBA level.

He was SEC player of the year last year...top sf in college in assists per and rebounds per...he was an all round player in college...biggest knock was that he didn't take as many shots as everyone thought he should...he came from my fav college team to fav pro team...I'm loving it!
