As long as we don't specifically draft for need, and pass up more talent, I will be happy.

    PG, SG, SF, C...

Give me one that can play with Patrick Patterson for the next 12 years...

Im constantly checking out NBAdraft.net and in aran smith's extended mock he keeps calling the Rockets Point guard situation "weak". It's been like this for weeks now and it's really starting to piss me off. He obviously doesn't watch any Rockets games cause if he did he would know Lowry had a career year last year and goran is one of the most dynamic backups in the league. IDK I just thought i'd share that.

I'm still hoping the Rockets can get Nikola Mirotic, possibly with the 23rd. He will be in Spain 2 more years, but will be a nice addition when he comes over.

He's a good player, but he's super soft.

I want to insist on his physical development at the last months. Very noticeable. Not only he looks stronger, his moves look quicker, deeper and more solid. At this point, I wouldn't compare his body with Bargnani's, I see him capable of making career as a pure PF, should be able to defend outside. And should become a better rebounder.

    Klay Thompson

He'll be our next Kevin Martin when we trade Kevin Martin

    Marcus Morris and Donatas Montiejunas.

I think Donatas is getting really underrated by some of these draft boards. If he falls to 14 it would be a steal. Best case scenario- 7'0 Scola with better ball handling and passing.

Marcus Morris is who I really like in the draft. I don't see any way he drops to us so we would have to trade up. Like I mentioned in the GARM, I wouldn't mind trading Scola for the 10th pick or something and taking him. Packaging Terrence Williams with the 14th to move a few spots up would be even better. I see Marcus as the Brandon Roy caliber talent in this draft who can be had outside the top 5.

I agree with you on Donatas. The problem I have with Donatas is I don't know how he fits here without a major overhaul. He's not a defender. He is an accomplished offensive player. He would probably be nice next to a really good center in Scola's role. But then what do we do with Scola and Patterson? Just don't see where Donatas helps us unless there is a major overhaul on this roster and we go in a completely different direction.

Now, Marcus, once again, if he is there at 14 or if we can move up a couple spots and give up say Chase and/or 14 plus 23 to get up to 12 or 10 to get him, I'd do that type of deal in a second. But.....only if we couldn't get our grubby mitts on Kanter or Biyombo first.

At this point, I think Marcus is going to be better than Vesely and would fit better on our team with his handle and ability to shoot off the dribble, make plays, and still spot up and hit at a very consistent rate.

Did anyone notice we also have the 60th pick also
Rockets receive the Kings' 2011 second-round pick (top 55 protected) (Jermaine Taylor trade 12-15-10)

And the kings have the 60th pick in the 2nd round

I want Biyombo and don't want Vucovic (sp?)

It's like comparing Ben Wallace to Jason Collier. Collier was way more skilled than Big Ben but did not impact the game near as much. Ben was aggressive and played defense and rebounded like a demon.

Did we get a draft pick from Memphis? Or is that going to be next year?

We get a pick out of it next year. I believe it is lotto protected, although it's very likely that Memphis will be a playoff team next year so the protection won't make much difference.

Scola is gonna get traded to open up some time for Patterson either way... Lets say we draft Motiejunas him and Patterson can switching back and forth on the 4 and 5 position. Also, the way Motiejunas admires Sabonus and the way he looked on those recent videos i'm pretty sure Motiejunas wants to get bigger and stronger allowing him to play the 5 as he matures in time.
