I’m totally fine with banning someone who follows someone else onto a social media platform specifically to harass them. I don’t know what guarantees Parler has made about “free speech”, but I assume they reserve the right to boot people off who are only interested in acting like trolls, which I’m guessing was the case here?
Political representatives shouldn't ban anyone for making fun of them unless it's about their families or crosses the line as racist, sexist, etc. Simply trolling someone is a very low bar for a high profile individual.
Who did the banning here, Nunes or Parler? I disagree that harassing political representative should be OK. Criticize the hell out of them, yes, but trolling is trolling and I think the internet is better off without it.

OK. The specific post I saw was a picture of a cow holding up a sign that says "Devin is a Loser!". If this is somehow considered satire, then fine.
That may not be what you consider satire, but I don't see how it's harassment either. If someone puts up "Trump is a loser" cartoons is that harassment of Trump? Political figures have to have thicker skin.
Are you saying Devin Nunes' Cow isn't entitled to think that? I don't have any idea what happened on Parler, or what the site is like, so I really can't judge right or wrong.
Parler is going to be incredibly boring. It is all going to be white people over 50 posting on there about how great Republicans are, how scary Democrats and black people are and how wonderful the Red Lobster and Outback senior menu is. I hope that they make sure their font is extra large so their readers can read the posts. Also they need to make sure they have tech support available 24/7 and from the USA. Last it needs to be jitterbug phone compliant or they will lose half their market..... because these are the types of people on Parler
Satire is a form of criticism. There is reason behind it. Reasoned criticism is good and should be protected on a site that touts the value of free speech. Trolling is just being an unpleasant presence for the sake of pissing someone else off. If this banned person was posting stuff on that site that can be interpreted as satire, then fine. That's just not the impression I initially had when I saw the post that apparently got his/her account banned.
They can think it, and I'd be OK with expressing it in a certain context as well. But entering into a conversation thread just to insult someone, if that's what happened, to me appears like trolling and not satire. I also am wondering what reason did Devin Nunes's Cow have for being on that site. I'm curious what the post history was -- if there was any attempt to engage in actual conversation with other members, satirical even, or was it just about jumping into threads and throwing out insults.
