I would've trade Watson to the Bengals for 1-1 and if that didn't work I would've traded Watson to the Chargers for 1-6 (Herbert) and a 2021 1st. Then signed Dalton for 2 years while Herbert learned and this would also alleviate the coming cap issues.
Watson for Herbert? The Chargers would've done that in a millisecond. WOW!!!!! Andy Dalton the Cowboys backup? SMH.
The goal is to win the Super Bowl and King Billy Bob hasn't participated in an AFC Championship game.
Everyone has to remember that raining threes has gone on record as saying he'd rather have Ryan Tannehill than Deshaun, so he's going to severely undervalue Deshaun
LOL. rainingthrees always likes to be argumentative and it gets annoying. This time he just stuck his whole foot in his mouth, up to the ankle. No need to comment on it.
Why do you say this? No team has ever won a championship with their QB taking up more than 14% of the cap. Watson is soon going to eclipse this mark and while Watson is a good QB he's not a great QB.
Read my post above. Since FA started only 2 out of 52 QB's that made more than 14% of the cap have made a SB and neither won the SB. You think Watson can beat this trend? I dont, so I guess we will have to agree to disagree.
He will also only be 25 this year. His number in his 1st 4 season are only bested by Mahomes (not by much). You don't start over with unproven rookies, especially 1 like Herbert (who had trouble doing drop backs at the combine). Burrow had ONE great season at LSU and probably because he was an OLDER QB than your standard college senior.
