They're used to playing in front of a dead crowd and empty rows.

In all seriousness, if the NBA does not even try to get the arena to have some buzz either through letting in fans with some seats between them or have screens that show random fans at home and have some local bars atmosphere going around in the arena through the speakers, then this will be dreadful.

Tillmans long game for not filling up the bottom bowl was these playoffs. We will conquer.

Harden will be rested as well. 8 games should be enough to get his usual ass start out of the way and be in peak form for the playoffs!

I think if houston plays 4-5 verses utah it should be a easy domination 3-0, utah always has that home crowd advantage. But if you look at a 2nd round versus either La teams, its going to 7 games, and i just dont know if houston has the roster to get passed either La teams tbh. Houston sometimes dominates on the away crowd shutting up, so who knows...

Assuming the season continues as planned there will be two strongly contributing factors to a team’s progress thru, or not: lay-off induced injuries and lay-off induced coronavirus rearing it’s head.

OP said we had a “HUGE advantage” and knowing our new slimmed down microball lineup...

I’m really interested in seeing how this goes

The Summer League games in Orlando have no crowd, but those games are meaningless.

it’s hard for me to get over just how awkward a playoff, and especially finals game, will be without any fans or crowd noise

a crowd is what gets your adrenaline flowing...the cheering or the booing sets the scene

Harden being reseted is a big plus.

The challenge for the Rockets will be rebounding - teams had started to give their small ball lineup trouble - Westbrook and Harden will need to be at their very best to get past the elite teams.

That's loser talk!!! You have to dominate!

You have to dominate, if you don't dominate you're wasting your time. They're going to run over you. You're going to look like a bunch of jerks. You have to dominate. Westbrook is going to get all the rebounds. Harden is going to get fouled everytime he touches the ball. Covington is going to get every steal. PJ is going to draw every charges. EG is going to be happy. Or else you look like jerks and just wasting the restart!

First implemented by a politically active GM.

Loser coach just enhanced it and the role of the ball hogging 'diva'. Jk.

We never really had a solid training camp to iron out the nuances of small ball so that alone is gonna be a huge advantage. Also before they got gassed, small ball was working very well so the no travel mode rest setup should help too. And as a lower seeded team, negating home court is another thing to our advantage. It's not gonna be easy but there is actually a chance we can pull this off.

45% of some of you guy's posts are about the crowd. What are some of you guys going to do now that no one will be in the stands? lol.

There's always Tilman financial problem and the Rockets not being a political organzation with Daryl Morey.

They should have players from the teams not playing, be in the stands.

Psychologically, I wonder how that'll affect play / performance. Imagine a crowd of 50 randoms watching you play basketball. Now, imagine those same 50 people be your contemporaries like LeBron, Harden, Giannis, Kawhi, etc.

Harden should fresh additionally Eric Gordon should be fresh. I guess Jeff green and perhaps demaree Carroll are fresh.

Austin Rivers is really on last leg with the team!

There will be crowds. I expect players not playing will want to watch these games with their families. Expect more of an Allstar game crowd
