We went from using draft pick to draft a hopkins replacement in a heavy WR draft, to just signing/trading a bunch of old, second tier wrs to replace hopkins. literally no plans by BoB except rando potential ass emotional trades to compensate the sht hopkins one.

If Tee Higgins is there at 40, I would still think the Texans take him.

The reason they traded for Cooks is because O’Brien doesn’t seem to trust rookie WRs. There should be an impactful front 7 player at 40 if there’s a run on WRs at the end of the 1st/early 2nd.

They should but would you draft a run over fixing the defense?

I’d actually be pretty happy with either one of those picks right now. A slightly better defense doesn’t really move the needle for me at this point. But maybe get Watson and the offense as many weapons as possible and see what happens.

In Watson’s tenure, how many games have been lost after the offense scoring within 2 minutes left? With more weapons, there’s more choices to score. However, they still have the same problem of letting teams go up the field to score.

Oh trust me I get it. But with the moves BoB has made as of late, I’m just about throwing up my arms and saying just get the best player available. I do think most of our defensive “collapses” were due more to coaching than the players though.

Yes, the bend don’t break mentality cost them games. I agree with that. Let’s meet in the middle and say Defense at 40 and Edwards-Helaire in the 3rd. I think he’d be available that late because of the WR talent and other RBs being drafted ahead of him

A big guy like Dillon would be awesome to have. If they could have a set of backs like the pats a few years ago with Blount, Lewis, and white that would be good. If not Dillon, then Olonilua in the 5th or if they pick up extra picks from a trade down. Olonilua might not contribute day 1, but he’s an athletic freak who is working out with the Footwork King.

If we're not taking a WR early, which I doubt we are, I want Yetur Gross Matos at all costs. Trade up for him, because we'll probably have to. I think the dude has similar traits to Clowney. He just has slightly less athleticism (everybody does), but is probably a better pass rusher at this point.

Here's a powerful video on his life.

Also I have read the giants have been all over this dude and his former d-line coach from Penn St. is now the giants d-line coach.

Yep, they pick four picks ahead of us, which is why I say we need to trade up.

He won't make it to the second round though.

Trade Watt/2nd round pick and fourth rounder in 2021 to move up for Matos seems consistent.

If we somehow got him WOW... more realistically we will have a shot at Marlon Davidson out of Auburn.

Marlon Davidson will be a hell of a player.
