For someone who endured not 1 but 2 four game losing streaks in a shortened season, he rebounded pretty well.

    Milkhair didn't survive this.

MDA is more like a creative but stubborn artist, while popovich an rational engineer who got zero-tolerance to any mistake.
Gotta admit coach like MDA got no luck, led his men ran into one of the greatest teams in nba history which happened to at its prime. Suppose kerr and splash brothers came across that spurs, might achieve nothing as well.

Edit: anyway, there are no ifs n ors…either W or L. you win, win it all.

Oh you mean when the game where we were winning at home and then let the warriors back in cause
we missed 27 three pointers? oh fantastic coaching job. waited til they scored like 20 points in a row before a time out.
was it even a real time out or tv?
    @Reeko

Here's his coaching record. Point to me when he deserved a title.

He got outcoached by Popovich when he was with Phoenix
He wouldn't say he got outcoached by Kerr, he helped the Warriors win that game by not changing up the offense in the time of need.

Or are you too young to remember he that he coached other teams?
or don't know to use GOOGLE?

I like your thread until you start yapping about how he deserved a championship.

nobody deserves anything they don't earn.

    @Zboy

Being a great person doesn't make you a great coach

But Lil Uzi Vert thinks he deserves a championship

Fire MDA and sign T lue for coach. If we dont have money, we can sign Cousin for our center. I think we can win this year.

    Good for Pringles.

Also, good guy Carlos "If you dont know the facts, you got to shut the **** up" Correa has also donated 500K for medical gear to Houston hospitals as well. The dude has yet to hit the "big" payday and has donated that much.

As much I dislike his stubbornness in the terms his coaching, he deserves a good ending by the organization

    Unlike what happened to

    Yup, hope so.
The fact is, different player/coach may have different understanding/ interpretation on 'a good ending'…say i believe t-mac deems retiring w/o a ring or two not a big deal, he just got no ambition (sheep-mac).
I hope MDA cares about the ring and title, looking for a 'self redemption'.

A pretty quick HOF induction is a big deal for someone who didn't win it all, only had some great years but no longevity.

At some point in the past his TMac logo (brand) was among the best sold.

He sold moments like the 13 in 33, his athleticism, the off the board wind mill and dunk on Bradley.

Man wasn't a bad business man. Talking about the Ol' American Dream.

for some kinda players, if things go smoothly, after a big fat contract signing as well as a lucrative extension in later years, then their life all about mansion, luxury cars, champagne & chicks, family members, vacation, yacht. b-ball games is only small part of their life actually, which nearly makes no difference to high-flying business trips for those big corps's executives, plus some routine punching the clock work (in stadium and gym). if they don't hustle for a ring, that's all.
Besides, as long as lucky enough (sheep-mac is particularly the case), HOF title is a sweet bonus and a stepping stone heading to ESPN guest seat years after retiring the number.

again, MDA is really really something. 100 grand is a lot for a coach on the verge of his retirement (hope he can work 2-3 more years before that).

Players who grew up poor or average, didn't have tons of money.

Now they go to the NBA, get rich, have entourage and tons of people following them around.

Getting to Allstar level, star level, chance of winning titles, that is just icing on the cake.

For the fan, it's more important than for the individual player.

CP3 ' I dun go to bed with a picture of the trophy, like I gotta have it, gotta have it.....' 'My fam is more important'
'Make no mistake, I want to win it but Is that the ultimate goal in my life? No.'

    wow, it's a quote of CP3.
one of the good things David Stern did for NBA, i think, was calling a halt to bringing high school boys to nba by entering draft. at that age. kids could do nothing but messing up their life (with piles of money). that's especially the case for those walked out of ghetto where full of junkies and dealers.

(that's why caron butler is a role model in this league, a true tough guy).
