    Non Pandemic reasons

1 million dollars for a starter? Nah. Took it so Les can go under the cap to get Pippen.
9 million? that's not what was promised for taking the sacrifice.

    I get TIlman isn't a great owner.
Doesn't change Les being the b*stard that brought all this down on us.

China being mad at Morey? Well who the hell marketed the hell out of Rockets to be China's team?
You think China would care if John Paxson said anything about Hong Kong?

He kicked Dream to Toronto over a few million bucks. I WILL NEVER FORGIVE HIM.

Well his problem was that he sacrificed for the Rockets to sign a max player , not realizing the owner is a dirtbag.

This was during the Joe Smith under the table contract scandal.

Les was scared of his backend deal with Barkley so he decided not to pay him.

Now... This is a good reason not to pay your employees. If anything, it makes for fewer donuts Chuck can eat, which in turn might have saved his life.

Typical lame stream media here, trying to paint a good Rockets owner as a bad one. You won't get me.

Sorry you had to wear the clown jerseys and thanks for saying they are ugly when Drexler was being Drexler about his opinion

    @Air Yordan

If Les was still owner, Daryl Morey would be kidnapped by Chinese agents with the nod from Les and be beaten in a torture camp by the Chinese

    who wants more Chinese money?

    China or Les?

    Les

As clueless as Barkley now is, even when adjusted for inflation, he was never paid enough. That man was an absolute bargain on every team he played for.

They are called the Clutch City two time championship Rockets teams
They won two trophies that are worth millions of amounts of pride and happiness
And took them with him to Florida like they were ikea lamps

@tinman , saying Les did a nice thing donating a large amount of money to Houston charities doesn't equal "loving Les." It also doesn't warrant a thread "yelling" at everyone about it, which is pretty much what you are doing now, in my opinion. It is possible to dislike the current owner and the previous owner as well.

It is also OK to still be pissed off at horrible Rockets ownership back in the day that wouldn't pay restricted free agent and MVP Moses Malone what he was worth, Moses being one of the greatest players to ever step on the hardwood. The Sixers offered Moses under $2.2 million a year over 6 years. Rather than match that contract offer, the Rockets traded him for peanuts to Philadelphia and decided to rebuild. They didn't ask fans like me what I thought about it. It was one of the most lopsided trades in NBA history. Philadelphia won a championship the very next season, with Moses being, again, the regular season MVP, and MVP of the Finals. The Rockets had absolutely no idea who they would draft later. It was ownership saying **** you to the fans and saving some money.

Chew on that. I'm going to bed.
