I have insider perspective too. I went to school. And I got lucky. School costs even more now. I'm tired of Texas A&M calling me every few months begging for money. I already gave them plenty. And I know they have more than enough.

How was he wrong? Probably driven by people wrestling over toilet paper.

You are talking about a problem solving genius of epic proportions here, pointing out that panic helps NO ONE.

If you tell them to leave you alone, they typically will do so.

state schools have had to change their business models rapidly as states massively divest public support for higher ed. I say that without judgment.

There’s a difference between Panic and doing something stupid vs having legit concerned based on science and doing something smart.

The issue here is people with a megaphone presenting the Covid crisis as a black and white situation. Someone especially who tries to present himself as an modern Albert Einstein really should do be better at presenting educated opinions on serious scientific subjects.

Is the panic dumb.... yes if you do stupid things in response. Is being highly concerned to the point where you make drastic changes to protect your family dumb? Of course not. I think we are past the times where the #1 subject of concern should be toilet paper hoarding.

Jerry Falwell Jr.’s Liberty University makes millions of dollars from low-quality online courses

A ProPublica/New York Times Magazine investigation reveals shady practices at the university’s distance learning program. But its status as a nonprofit means federal crackdown is unlikely.

Junior has turned daddy's Liberty University into a money making machine selling useless distance learning services. They arent going broke any time soon.

No one disagree that panic is dumb, but many disagree that’s what was generally going on especially given what we know now.

Real panic was relatively small. Most people that have concern acted properly - being prepare. They weren’t running around in a panicky state. Yes, that did happen but among a small group which gets attention from the media. The bigger problem was complacency.

It will be interesting if other school systems also stay out through April. Well, except for Liberty University, which appears to want to turn itself into a virus breeding ground...

It’s also misleading as Trump himself is undercutting the Senate GOP by holding separate talks with Schumer.

I looked up all flights in 6 hour increments from 0600 to midnight. I counted 22 from LaGuardia tomorrow to IAH. I don't post fake news.

Ohio and Maryland seem to be ahead of the curve.
