Mac doesn't have the cash, though I think he'd be awesome as an owner. Dan Duncan's heirs, OTOH, probably do. Pity they don't seem to want to buy either the Rockets or Texans.

Honest question, why should they need to use PTO / vacation time if they're not working? I'm guessing because they're on-call?

Because they won't get paid otherwise? I doubt a lot of businesses have the capital to pay employees who aren't currently working.

This situation is different, and I don't know what the answer is. Using vacation time does not seem unreasonable to me, while the worker is waiting for employment to restart.

2 rings and counting if not for bad officiating... PLUS

    - stood up to adam silver machinations by revealing nba internal officiating reports to public
    - traded for westbrook
    - allowed capela to be traded....revolutionalized basketball by enabling microball

find me a basketball club owner better than that

That’s earned time by an employee who should be able to do what he/she wants with it. And in a time like this where these people aren’t even going to get paid , that would be an avenue of some income that shouldn’t have been taken away in the first place

that time was going to get paid at some point. It shouldn’t make a difference when that time is. Whether they took it later this year or even beyond. It’s theirs. Not even having that option to use it is terrible

What does this have to do with letting families go hungry because he’s too cheap to pay them?

All teams in MLB is going to commit 1 million dollars to employees played off waiting for baseball to start.
Aren't you proud of Timan not paying his employees at his casino?

I'm shocked he hasn't asked us to pay his employees. If he doesn't want to sell the Rockets he should consider selling that shitty casino.

We all know that the first thing Tilman looks to sell is first round picks.

Tilman is heavily leveraged with all the recent purchases (Rockets, other restaurant chains) that he made in the past few years.

There was absolutely no way that he would have been able to afford to pay all of his employees during a time like this. He's not cash rich like some of the other NBA owners.

That is a great move by Adelson. Assuaged by the knowledge they're about to get a giant bailout from Uncle Sugar, but still. Nice thing for him to do.

Not replicable by most small businesses these days.

So Fertitta is going to follow suit, right?
