I don’t really think the season would be canceled. That’s worst case scenario. One player ( I know probably more) isn’t going to shut down the entire season. They’ll let them take a month, let the virus run its course, and come up with an alternate schedule to finish out the season.

Who thinks it is a death sentence out of curiosity? It kills upto 15% of elderly people with diseases like heart disease or diabetes and not a severe threat to younger people. Rudy isn't elderly is he? Also keep in mind that for most people the symptoms are very mild. Also keep in mind that for the people who do get sick, often their symptoms start as very mild, seem to improve, and then worsen quickly within hours to a critical point.
The silver lining is that the mortality rate for COVID-19 isn't astronomically high. This does little to help those who have lost someone to it but I'm cautiously optimistic that we will find a solution for this virus sooner rather than later.
