Small ball has been exposed. Teams will continue to pack the paint and let us shoot which we've proven we're not good at. I'm all for J.Green starting at this point. This gives Harden a roll man again to help diversify his game. But he can also shoot so he won't necessarily be in Russ's way when he wants to go to the basket. I would also like to see EG remain on the bench hurt or healthy. His terrible play this season and the fact that he's been in and out of the lineup have really hurt us. What else can we do to right the ship before the playoffs?
Let MDA make adjustments to his system and we will be fine. MDA is a very good coach just not as timely most. I trust he will figure it out and the team will be prosperous yet again. Patients it is hard when one is connected emotionally. Better know than in the playoffs. Really what other options do we have.
I feel like we have the pieces but its D'Antonis job to figure out the best starting and finishing lineup. Seems like its not set yet. I would like to try Green starting over House to be honest.
Time ... they need time to play like a machine. You need games like these to gel and improve. We can't start Tuck and House at the same time. Put in Green for one of them as a starter. I would take House out. I would even shorten House minutes until he shows he can explode again.
Tinker with lineups, I think we need to get Green and Ben more involved. Harden's shot selection. I really feel like teams want him to shot contested step backs or drive into waiting defenders.
MDA does need to figure out best lineups and rotations better. But also still need few more pieces, Morey and Tilly work is not finished. Not talking about next season only, there are still opportunities to improve roster this season.
I think the Rockets caught the Ringer Curse. once The Ringer is all in with your team they fall off a cliff. We fix this mess by getting Bill Simmons off the bandwagon and hating again.
Amen these teams are making an error they should have just stood pat with their strategies. I love the fact that our weaknesses are being exposed now because we have time to correct them and better our habits. Some of the changes will be a starting lineup change and style. Teammates can get involved better if James comes off elbow dribble handoffs in the lane because the defense will be confused and he cant be doubled as well as some slip screen action like the Warriors would do to keep the defense guessing. Defensively we just need to man up and play together for 48 minutes and that's all about commitment. Their is not and X an O problem just an effort problem. Like I said I am glad this is happening now
