Lots of people didn’t want to hear it and still don’t but if this team flames out, I’d blow this up.

Or bring in a coach that’s going to get more ball and body movement.

When they first started small ball that’s what it looked like.

Now it’s devolved into James ISO’s except without the lob threat at the rim.
Now it’s just four guys standing outside the three point line watching James dribble and point and ask the refs for three second calls. ***** ugly and it ain’t gonna work.

True. He is a first ballot HOFer and his 2017-2018 and 2014-2015 seasons will be some of the greatest Rocket seasons ever.

But man he's become a parody of himself with the 3 and lay up offense. It's so god damn monotonous now and he's lost a couple of steps on his explosion when he's only 30 years old.

The guy used to be a great finisher at the rim with his eurostep. He was the MVP in the playoffs for 2012 Thunder except the finals . He just wants to jack up 3s and not even shoot from midrange once in a while. Dantoni is a moron not letting harden shoot from midrange . We need a Power forward to grab some rebounds. Bring in Cousins, Cabaclo, or Faried.

Lol, u seriously think MDA isn’t letting Harden shoot midrange? Harden can shoot whatever shot he wants, any time he wants.

Yes, Harden has more pull than anyone else in this franchise besides Tilman. If he wants to incorporate some semblance of a mid range game, it's entirely up to him.

I think it is mental. Harden never really relied on his explosion, he would rock guys out of position or just get them leaning the wrong way and take the angle.

He still gets to the rim often, but, it's harder for him to finish because teams collapse on him.

Usually this wouldn't matter too much...but guys are missing shots and he can't hit his step back 3.

That's the biggest issue, that's his signature move. That's his comfort move, the thing he can rely on when things aren't going well...it's not there any more, and maybe that is getting to him and lowering his confidence...either that or there is some locker room drama we don't know about, which I doubt.

I think his confidence is just so low right now but since he's the star player he still have to put up his shots and this is what you get.

Being predictable ? Where have you guys been this has been a problem every season outside of 2017-18. It’s like someone said, he’s playing 2nd fiddle and lost a step now.

I think some of you are being too harsh, this is who he always was with his defficiencies, the front office just enabled his play and spoon fed him into being less versatile. Without WB we just saw his offense covering a lot more and ignored certain things

I agree. But yet the hyperbole gets the idea across. It's mindnumbing to watch. I have to think he'll pull through. But dayum.

Kinda tough when you're being closely guarded by one person and 4 additional players camped in the lane waiting for you.

    Mid-range shooting exists

Not just mid range scoring but catching the ball in different ways and areas of the court. All of Harden's offense is initiated by face up dribbling at the top of the 3 pt line. You never see him run around a screen and catch the ball at the elbow and make a quick move such as a catch and shoot or catch and drive.

Harden is pure trash.. idc about his offense skills.. when he scores 30, he gives up that 30 to his opponents by not guarding them. Pure lazy and play no defense at all. #facts

We’ve been having mental lapses and “no- show” games as a team for 6 years. Including the playoffs and regular season.

May some point we have to point to the common denominator of all those 6 teams.

it’s Harden. He is an amazing player that gets your to the big games, but he won’t win those big games.

this last 3 games taught me everything I need to know about this squad.

Imagine calling a former MVP and leading scorer for many years pure trash. Not to mention, he's constantly in top 10 in assists every year.

Even when Harden is off form like he was tonight, he still got a 30 point triple double. That's the difference between him and other stars. Harden can be trash and still win you games, despite getting constant double teaming and constant attention when he drives to the paint.

Gawdy counting stats on bad shooting is usually just an indication of high usage rate rather than skill.

NBA is shifting to high usage rate players like Donic, Trae etc and they all have gawdy counting stats even on days they play bad.

What else is supposed to logically happen when you have your teammates camped out watching you iso?

Maybe do something else offensively to avoid that scenario?

heh, just like the last 4 plays for Harden in the Spurs series game 5. People always bring up game 6 no-show but it was even worse in game 5 when we had a good chance to win the game but Harden made mistake after mistake for the loss.

Shawn Marion said that once, they were watching when Steve Nash dribbled and Amare going to roll down there.

More in the half court set though.
