    You're making the assumption that the contact caused them to fall, and that the play will be affected. In that case, call the foul when the play is affected. Maybe the defender wouldn't fall at the slightest breeze if they knew they wouldn't get rewarded? Incentives are everything.

    Off ball fouls also shouldn't be called if you're just rewarding someone for head-faking or falling when there was actually minimal contact.

    I'm in favor of anything that penalizes flopping. It slows down the game and makes it unwatchable. Thanks, Ginobili.

    Lol I thought my favorite move of chasing and knocking the ball away from behind only worked in my pickup games... Not in nba games.

    yeah and the issue is that instead of doing things to make the game easier it’s been ignored because he’s been hot so often.

    problem is when he’s not hot they can lose to even the worse teams in the league.

    This is just not good basketball.
