Need social distancing measures in place right now. The sooner and better we are at those, the better chance we have of not exceeding the health care system's capacity. We want to flatten that curve as much as possible. Disruption's on the way folks.
If you use SK data (0.65%), with 14 death, we should be around 2200 case, not 256. If you stick to 256, then the rate is 5.5%.
Yeah it's interesting, until you sit in a full plane and get sneezed on in side your protective dome of air, instinctively/accidently touch your nose and mouth, and then find out there was no filter, hahah. I'm not serious but these are good suggestions though (especially if you must fly)
Yes, this is a good example, like let's say spread was inevitable, but if we could limit it where the cases didnt plume all at once, it'd help from keeping this from overwhelming the health system (ie smaller amount of people who need extra care vs all at once). I'm just glad the R0 isn't like measles (at least from what we've been told...)
Recency bias for me walking past the homeless campers we have here in Austin and watching them wipe their ass in public right down the road from my house, but yes I do agree with you.
It wouldn't surprise me. I'm pretty sure the people that run airlines are the same people that came up with waterboarding.
Man, I'm in north Austin/RR but the handling of homeless is a mess right now, I mean they really need a better/safer solution for everyone. Like better programs or something... I don't know, I just worry when the temp dips or other things happen, it's not a good solution with what we have now
"Mr. President, will the hat look good on me in my coffin?" (long glowering pause) "You're uglier than Rosie O'Donnell. No, we'll cremate you." "Senator Guevar---er, Sanders, how will you pay for the plan." "We have ways to pay for it." "HOW?"
Yes they do care. Every CCP official is afraid of being hold accountable for mistakes during this special period of time and jeopardize his / her own political future. Several officials who failed to meet their duties to control the spread of the epidemic have already been sacked. Meanwhile, the person who leads the vaccine development is not only a renowned military doctor but also a major general. Had she passed away, it would be considered as a huge loss for the party so I do not think anyone would recklessly force her to receive an untested vaccine.
