By trading Capela, Morey doubled down not just on small ball (5 Out) but he also on D'Antoni.

MDA is no longer a lame duck. He will be extended. He just revolutionized the game AGAIN, won another Coach of the Month and will be in running for his THIRD Coach of the Year award.

All the MDA haters are going to be real sad because Tilly has already gone on record recently confirming that he will be retaining D'Antoni. And he would be a fool not to, especially with the recent recognition MDA is receiving by media and all industry insiders, deservedly so.

Even notorious MDA hater, Stephen A, is praising Mike and confirming that he should be retained.

Well he was available for a split second. LOL

Again, he was never one of my priority targets because he is not a BEST fit on our team. Just a better fit than Harty.

There is a reason the Celtics hired a Boy Wonder Stevens, and the Celts are also a franchise that uses analytics. MIT is close by.

MDA will be extended only because Westbrook decided to dominate in time. And everyone around him played better.

But he is still 68 years old and not the future.

So if you agree that MDA will be extended what was your point about lame duck?

We still talking about Harty, because you lost me with the Celtics mumbo jumbo.

Do ‘we’ know that MDA will accept a new contract?

Do ‘we’ know if what TF sez is to be accepted at mouth value?

It's a workout friends, not a signing. If the workout shows them he's still got it... boom.. we got another wing. If not, no harm done.

So breathe... this is fine. No panic needed.

That was what 3 years ago. He’s done. Only place he’s hyped up is on clutch fans. Was an ok role player here and now he’s washed.

Luc had some of the best defensive court awareness I've seen in a player. If he were healthy, he could definitely help us. However, his knee injury last year was pretty bad.

Tilly has painted himself into a corner with his very public confirmation. Not to mention James and Russ LOVE D'Antoni and James/Russ are the foundation of the Rockets.

As for MDA, Tilly may not have appreciated him (lowball offer) but he also knows that no other franchise believes and supports in his philosophies like Morey and/or have players that would unlock his system like Harden/James.

I am more than hopeful that MDA returns, makes too much sense, on and off court.

I just wish Morey would show him some data that would convince him to play a bigger rotation to keep our guys fresh.

Who can forget that game where he was +54 due in large part to his defense.

Is Michael Frazier, William Howard on the roster.
Thabo Sefolosha can play as an Old man Center but cannot shoot 3s whatsoever.
Those 3 players should not be on the roster.

The team needs more defensive 6'10, 7'3 wingspan Center.

Also Christian Wood brokeout on the Pistons, a former Viper. Wish we kept him also.

He has cut down on the number of potential coaches, but the Capela deal does not guarantee anything because there are still a lot of coaches that would be willing to run a small line up. There are several coaches in the G League and overseas that the Rockets think quite fondly of.

It all depends on what the Rockets do in the playoffs. The expectations are extremely high, at a minimum reaching the WCF. Right now things look good and fans should enjoy the ride but things can shift very quickly from good to great or from good to bad.

Again lets wait and see how the remainder of this season goes.

MDA is a good coach and he does not get nearly enough credit for the change he has made, especially on the offensive side. He also has avoided any negativity in the locker room and has done a good job of keeping the team together the last few years when it could have crumbled. He has been more actively involved in the defense this year.
