Harden on Giannis: “I wish I could just run and just dunk. That takes no skill at all.”

This is as much WB's team as it is Harden's.

Harden is clearly the face of the franchise but unofficially WB is the spiritual leader.

Giannis has to go against co-captains.......which is likely too tough on him.

That doesn’t change the fact that his game relies so much more than athleticism than Harden, if you screwed each player’s height and wingspan, one dude would still be in the league and one wouldn’t

    Oh I'm here for this!

James handled those questions like a champ. Clapping back without being incendiary about it. He just defending himself. Genuinely looks tired of all the negative light painted around him when he just trying to mind his own business. Making Giannis look petty.

I love james, his attitude, and how he handles himself. Giannis is a little b**** and a ****ing idiot. He should definitely keep his mouth shut and stops contradicting himself everytime when he speaks.

In case you missed the incendiary device he used:

He definitely threw some heat when it wasn't necessary, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Giannis deserves it.

    Cowturd:

There are two types of surgeons. Surgeons who save lives & plastic surgeons. They make you hotter & get rich. There's two types of attorneys. Those who fight injustice & personal injury attorneys with billboards on the freeway. There's two types of actors. Daniel Day-Lewis & The Rock/Vin Diesel, who get rich.

Same in the NBA. There's winners - Michael, Kobe, Shaq, Duncan, KD - where stats aren't important. Then there's the other category: Harden, Westbrook, Derrick Rose. They care what their numbers are.

Kobe told Harden you aren't gonna win titles this way. You cannot sustain this ball-centric offense. We've seen proof James erodes. You don't get the calls. Refs swallow the whistle in the playoffs. We've seen this year after year after year. Russell doesn't get the calls, he unravels. Harden gets frustrated.

James is in the other classification, he's looking at numbers/stats.

LeBron James has left 7K points on the table. LeBron could score 38 a night for the last 10 years, has one scoring title. It's about winning for him. Magic Johnson left so many points on the table. Magic had Kareem and wanted to win titles. Steph/KD are leaving points on the table. Steph is all about titles. Why playing next to Klay & go recruit Durant if it was about points?

You gotta make a decision on that. James can move into that category but has to tweak his style. He can't be ball-centric, about him and can't worry about stats. He's more personal injury attorney than fighting injustice. You can't complain I'm not getting respect. That's the choice you've made. He's made a choice: money, points, give me the ball. That isn't winning you games in May & June. Kobe was right. You can't win it that way.

    _____________________________

Cowturd: When he rips Giannis, this is mostly on you. You've made a choice with your style. You'll score points but we won't talk about you in 25 years.

Gottlieb: That's fair. This comes from when Giannis was drafting the all-star team and by the way English is not his native language so you give him a little bit of a pass for the "I want someone who passes so I won't take Harden." Harden is a great passer. He over dribbles based on how they let him play but I'm gonna defend Harden here. He's right. Giannis doesn't have a lot of skill. Not a shooter. He's actually not a great passer. He passes because you have to collapse on him. The way the rules are set, the way they set their offense, they put everyone outside the 3pt line and he uses his length, angles, dribbling skill & ability to finish around the rim, you collapse, he finds...he's averaging 6 assists and for averaging that many points with that many shooters is a really low number. In the NBA, skill is code for shooting. When Durant said two weeks ago, 'In OKC, there wasn't a lot of skill around me.' Skill means shooting, means space. People don't respect that Giannis can't shoot.

What Harden needs to realize is if he really wants respect from his peers, he has to play defense. This is what Trae Young is battling. This is what he is battling. He's as good an offensive player in the NBA, maybe in the history of the NBA. He can score at three levels, draw fouls but also a great passer but if you're not willing to put in the effort defensively, you'll never get the respect from your peers.

Cowturd: James I find is highly skilled but there is an eye-roll because the choices he makes defensively.

Gottlieb: And offensively his need to draw fouls in order to be great. In order to be great, he needs whistles. His style of basketball is only good if he gets a whistle.

Cowturd: Does that explain in the postseason why...

Gottlieb: Yes, because the whistle changes & he struggles to change with it. Everyone agrees James has an incredible amount of skill. It's hard to watch with all the dribbling, hard to watch with the throwing the head back to draw a foul - which he didn't invent but perfected - but if you want respect from your peers, basketball players respect 'Hey, not only will I score but guard the other team's best player.' They hide him. And Steph has battled with that. People point out deflections & steals but that doesn't make you a good defensive player. They put you on the worst offensive player, hide you and you're the only guy that won't switch. We're gonna switch everything except with Harden, except with Steph. That's why Durant was so needed in Golden State. They didn't just need a scorer. They need someone to defend multiple positions to hide Steph Curry. ... Kawhi has the respect. That's why LeBron has the respect. Until you do it on the defensive end, you won't earn respect from the guys that matter.

He could have taken the easy way out and demanded a trade to the Clippers in the off-season
