How hard was it to watch on a plane with the subtitles?

don't get too excited. the only reason those other movies are mentioned is because they were Korean, too -- and (in the case of Snowpiercer) a Bong Joon-ho movie, as well.

obviously, no way similar to Parasite

Nobody mentioning one of his earlier masterpieces 'The Host'? (and Memories of Murder)

I might be the minority but snowpiercer was kinda meh? I've not seen Okja cause I'm not a fan of CGI. As for the Host, the family drama is good but the monster effect was not.

There's a sect of people that like to pretend that mediocre, lesser-known movies like Snowpiercer, Looper, Donnie Darko or Butterfly Effect (lulz) are their entire identity. They are the People of the Lulz.

Snowpiercer was very good. I enjoy a movie like that generally more than for example Honey Boy. Which was good but if a movie can be weird and good I’ll prefer it to an extent over Honey Boy. But really it’s something I’ve seen before.

At the end of the article does it say he didn’t understand the movie? That’s what I’m pointing out. If people don’t think it’s good enough, in my opinion I agree.

LMAO at Trump. The more you talk about it, the more people are going to see it. Didn't that movie made more money after it won the Oscar for best picture?

Is Parasite horror? Cause that 2nd half feels like a slasher movie.

Would someone mind tldr'ing what the "woke" aspect of this movie is, the lesson of its social commentary metaphor?

I could only make it half way through the video, when he started screaming and cursing, and hadn't addressed it. By that point he only seemed upset because it got awards in redundant/overlapping categories, and that no one has seen it.

Cliffs is a comic book enthusiast is upset Joker didn't win best picture because he thought it covered social issues better than Parasite and since Parasite won best foreign film, it should be left with that award only instead. That's the nice way of putting it. You gotta sit through all the cringe to really appreciate it. It's what I imagine the mickfrys and dachudas of the world are like IRL.

^haha maybe, but I can't hear message board posts- couldn't quickly scan or scroll through that profane screaming.

I get the angle of Joker, supposedly catering to "white male rage", getting snubbed. But what is Parasite's message, or what agenda do people seem to think it's pushing.
