goat duo, imagine adding assists numbers and rebound numbers into picture... they would have been even goater
The Spacing that a Kobe Shaq tandem created could not be translated fully thru numbers. It's by far the best tandem I can think of in terms of postseason success. Shaq in absolute dominating prime, Kobe not in his prime but young and fierce, close to prime. WB and JH are fully in their prime, on the brink of going down.
You do know there was this duo in Chicago. Their names were MJ and Pippin I think. I heard they were good in the postseason.
From the stats MJ was the heavy scoring one, Scottie only exceeded the 20 ppg mark a couple years. I think he did other things better than scoring, Defense for instance.
And yet that spacing does not propel them to greatest spot, that spot belongs to 2 lifelong buddies from LA.
That was my point, the Shaq Kobe, Zenmaster Triangle and In and Out with Derek Fisher, Horry and those great shooters. It harmonized that well, that is one of the best 5s of Alltime. Two players alone do not win championships, maybe I am wrong. So it does not really matter unless you are a Regular Season aficionado, which I am not BTW!
There lies the difference then, I love basketball and watch every single game of the Rockets - preseason, regular season, postseason. I live and breathe Rockets, savor every detail and celebrate the mundane to the historical.
would love to see them play against scott foster and adam silver i bet you any money they win zero titles
I can almost guarantee you that playoff teams will clog the lane for WB and Harden to penetrate all the time. Let them be killed by 3s. The percentage game is something that is tricky.
All Bruno has to do is show MDA that he is not liability on the perimeter. He will be a better 3P shooter on the Rockets with the 5 out spacing. I think he will put better numbers than Rivers, maybe as good as McLemore. If that happens, McLemore will lose minutes at SF because Bruno is already better rim protector, rebounder, passer and lob threat than both BMac and House.
You bring up a good point! I forgot about the Lob. Now that Capela is gone, Bruno is the only player that brings us that option. However, as I stated before, my only concern in the West are the Clippers. Not saying that the Lakers aren't strong, I just think the Rockets present a bad matchup. With Harrell and now Marcus Morris the Rockets are going to need bodies to matchup against them in the playoffs. Someone else along the frontline, besides PJ Tucker, Covington and Sefolosha has to emerge.
I agree that Rockets need another 3-D big. But do not see anyone on current roster that can negate or even slow down Marcus Morris. Certainly not McLemore or even House. You need a bigger stronger longer more physical more athletic player that will make him uncomfortable so he can make stupid mistakes to get him T'd up or thrown out.
How about this...lebron and ad have been optimal since jump street..klaw and pg have been too inconsistent but really good when on the floor..harden and Russ had the hardest initiation period, and now are reallllly starting to round into form “together”. So when it comes down to it, when it counts, I’ll take James and Russ then klaw and pg and foook the lakers
