Have you ever seen someone that can get to rim with this kind of speed/athleticism like westbrook?

Love DWade and he was explosive but Westbrook is on another level even at 31 years of age.

    Francis.

Westbrook has held up better though.

Dwade is the only one i can think of, in terms of such stunning explosiveness and quickness.
AI is another kind…more relying on his first step and agility (for a pg, his size is a flaw).

Yeah probably wade. But westbrook is/was even faster than that. Westbrooks first step and tenacity at the rim is first class. I wonder how beastly he would've been at his age if Bev never took him out. That Bev injury was Westbrooks first injury of his career.

MVP Derrick Rose, that season he was on current Westbrook level. He was also 10 years younger.

Another name that comes to mind is Drexler. I remember it was almost 25 years ago to this day, but Clyde would put his head down and go. He turned everything into a fast break. Clyde was a little smoother about it though, and not as explosive. Maybe Clyde was as explosive but he made it look easy, where with Westbrook you can see how hard he's working.

Confirmed, just watched Drexler's greatest dunk highlights. All these young ones must have forgot. He didn't get the nickname glide for nothing.

Drexler was not good off the dribble. He was more of an open court player. He wasn't great a initiating the offense like Westbrook.

Francis had more bounce. Westbrook more power and wants to drive more. Westbrook probably a slight edge in speed too.

There has been no one like Westbrook at getting at the rack. He's like Iverson with another 70 pounds of muscle.

I'd say so, he hasn't hit the crack pipe yet.

Francis wasn't even close. Francis was more of an And1 player trying to juke people out their shoes, however he wasn't good at identifying when defenders were off balance and go to the rack.

Westbrook is at another level. He doesn't even need to get player that off balance. He just pushes them out of the way unless they are completely in front of him and sometimes he just runs them over like he did Golbert.

I think this is the closest comparison, but Westbrook is a lot stronger and more durable.
