I wouldn’t post this if we weren’t at the all-star break.

I think there’s room for both on the roster, but maybe not in the rotation. If Green were healthy and still on the team who would you prefer get the minutes between BMac and Green? What’s the distinguishing factor?

Depends. Long term? Probably BMac, he's only 24(27, i stand corrected)... but I don't think he's going to be here long term. I think this is on a "get a contract" contract. Short term? Gerald Green. Hometown boy, bleeds Houston, has the heart to really push the whole team. He SEEMS like a leader. Like im not there to see what happens behind the scenes, but I feel like his on court displays are more vibrant than BMacs. Depending on the cap situation going forward both can be useful. Green is so cheap and loves it here, I don't get the same feeling for Bmac. Not that he doesn't love it here, but come on. You know Green bleeds this town so obviously.

Other than rep H-Town, what does Green do better than McLemore?

in his last 35 games, McLemore has been shooting 41% from 3 on 7 attempts a game

    he’s also 27 while Green is 34

there’s not much to discuss if u ask me

I like both guys. They both offer good shooting and floor spacing. I think Ben has the advantage though. He doesn't force as many bad shots, he doesn't miss as many defense assignments and is younger. Gerald is really good and fits alot of what we do on offense and provides chemistry.

    6'7 Ryan Broekhoff - 40% from 3 this season, 39% career .

    6'3 Ben McLemore - 38% from 3 this season, 34% career.

    6'6 Gerald Green - 36% from 3 career.

Broekhoff is clearly better than both.

Gerald Green is a fantastic option for the end of your bench, but I never thought of him as a positive +/- type of guy. He's more of our innings eater, our Livan Hernandez, in the dog days of winter when important pieces are injured on both sides, and you just need some to give us league-replacement level play.

Gerald Green is released by the Nuggets, I do not know if the Rockets can still resign him this year, maybe because of rules and Gerald can't play defense laterally.

Anthony Bennett is still recovering also. The Rockets have 2 roster spots open.

Is William Howard, Tim Frazier a fit on the team?

Tyler Johnson as Point Guard that can shoot 3s would be a upgrade over Austin Rivers.

Someone might slap me with stats but I'm not as nervous with Mac on defense than with Green

McLemore is a better defender, the safer bet and more steady 3pt shooter. Green you really need to be lucky he's on fire once every 5-10 games. So clearly McLemore.

Green is never afraid to shoot the ball. We need a guy like that.

He is very likely more valuable for the Rox as a bench dude than for other teams.

I agree with you but I would have loved to see how Green would do with Westbrook pushing the pace. He seems to be the type of player that would thrive in that situation
