Biden is still technically #2 nationally and #1 in Nevada and South Carolina. He’s also #1 or #2 in all of the major Super Tuesday states.

So, no, he’s not going to drop out. He just needs to survive the negative press and sky-is-falling sensation surrounding his campaign before regrouping Feb 29th in South Carolina.

The absurdly stupid caucus format favors Bernie, so I don’t expect the bleeding to stop in Nevada. He just needs to survive until SC and reestablish his dominance there. After that it’s Super Tuesday.

How will the results from today in New Hampshire potentially effect that analysis?

James Carville says it will be the "End of days" if the Democrats nominate "Jeremy Corbyn" (Bernie Sanders).

James Carville warns of 'end of days' if Dems choose Bernie: 'I'm not interested in being in a cult!'

James Carville, a political strategist and former top adviser to President Bill Clinton, sounded the alarm Monday about the prospect of Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., winning the Democratic Party's presidential nomination, calling such a choice the "end of days" for the party.

Appearing on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Carville said the Democrats must defeat President Trump in November or the country will be in an "abyss." But he said many of the candidates, Sanders in particular, are not appealing to enough of the electorate, including African-Americans.

Carville likened Sanders to Jeremy Corbyn, the left-wing leader of Britain's Labour Party who was soundly defeated in December. “The only thing, the only thing between the United States and the abyss is the Democratic Party. That’s it. If we go the way of the British Labour Party, if we nominate Jeremy Corbyn, it’s going to be the end of days. ... So I am scared to death, I really am," said Carville.

He said African-American voters are not interested in socialism and a revolution and "all this foolishness you hear," but instead want to be sold on a vision for how they "fit into this country."

“If we lose that, we’re going to be the British Labour Party and be out in some theoretical left-wing la-la land,” Carville said, adding that the "country can’t continue" for another four years under Trump.

"They’ve tacked off the damn radar screen," he said when asked if the party moved too far left.

It’ll be a hit, no doubt. I’d imagine the reasoning behind cancelling his NH campaign event tonight is his people are telling him to brace for a likely 5th place finish. It’s embarrassing and I’m sure they’re eager to turn the page.

That said, as we all know: people have the memory of a goldfish. In a week or two, Iowa and NH won’t be so fresh in the minds of people. We’re two weeks to the day away from the SC debate. It’ll be an opportunity for Biden to reestablish himself and make one last appeal to the African American community to carry him in that state. I realize things are looking gloomy right now, but he could still win there.

Disclaimer: he’s not my candidate. If he were to drop it would certainly benefit the person I’m rooting for. Just saying, I think this drop-out talk for Biden is premature.

He is not my candidate either, but it is my sense that this drop out talk was timely starting on the day he first announced he was running. This is Joe Biden's third try running for President. He is a TERRIBLE candidate for national office.

The problems that Joe Biden is having here are not tactical. They are first of all because he is profoundly unsuited for this role and secondly because he is clearly too old. I do not want to "Jump the gun" here, as it does nothing for me. But by tomorrow, unless I am mistaken, the writing is going to be on the wall for all to see, and a lot of people are going to start saying it.

Why should I care about what James Carville says and how does this respond to my post?

If he thinks it will be bring end times he should stock up on some Jim Bakker buckets!

Nope, it's a wrap for Biden he is even losing black support to Bloomberg.

If the MSM was not piling on he might stand a chance but blood is in the water and he is not that great of a candidate to reverse that.

He can survive two weeks, but I do agree the MSM is going to pile on him with negative press.

As for Bloomberg and his rise (and the competition for African American support), he’s largely gone unchecked on stop-and-frisk. I’ll be shocked if someone doesn’t bring this topic up at the next debate and try to take the lead on it.

Yeah, the audio from Bloomberg on that topic are going to be brought up and then things are likely to start getting nasty.

It is not going to be helpful to Bloomberg at all with certain voter groups. And for him to be able to win either the nomination or the general election, he is going to need the support of those voters.

Amy Klobuchar is concerned about having a socialist at the top of the ticket, she said in an interview on CBS News:

ED O’KEEFE, CBS NEWS: In Friday night’s debate, you were the only one to raise your hand when asked if you had concerns about the potential of a self-described Democratic Socialist atop the Democratic Party in November’s elections. Elaborate again on why you’re concerned about Sanders being the nominee.

KLOBUCHAR: [Crosstalk] The question should be why everyone else didn’t raise their hand. But they didn’t, because people were looking at each other and it may not be popular, and you’re going to anger some people. But I believe in leading, and doing what you think is right. And that’s why I raised my hand, because I am troubled by having a socialist lead our ticket. I like Bernie — we are friends, he would tell you that as well. We have worked together on prescription drug prices and the like.

But I think a candidate like me, who is able to bring in ideas and actually get them done — as I’ve said so many times, that people are tired of the extremes in our politics and the noise and the nonsense, that they have a home with me. That to me is the ticket of winning big.

I don't really care what Klobuchar has to say either, I like that she seems a bit more honest then Joe and Pete, but her policies are pretty much moderate republican policies, she's not someone I agree with on a number of issues.

Let's address my post outside of quoting random political people who like to say "socialism bad".

Mojo, is socialism possible without government, or communal controlled means of production?

He is 2nd to Biden in black support already.

Every candidate has something that is not gonna be helpful.

I am not interested in sidetracking this thread by getting into the weeds on the details and nuances of socialism. Suffice it to say, we do not agree on this subject.

which is why she may have the best chance of winning by appealing to voters who might otherwise go for Trump

awww come one mojo you didn't address my post in any way. There is no sidetracking in this thread either, the subject of this thread is the clown car of Democratic candidates. Bernie is a Dem candidate, he's a part of the clown car, we can have an honest, poo-flinging free discussion about his campaign.

I have the same view, except the opposite.

I think electing a moderate republican would leave the Dem base uninspired, Trump, on the other hand, has a very high approval rate within his party, he really inspires the right. John Kasich got railroaded by Trump, so would Amy IMO.

What I think would legitimately steal from Trump's base, IMO, is populism (anti-war, fix trade deals, M4A), is an outsider, anti-establishment (someone Hillary and the media hate) and uncorrupt (drain the swamp), type of candidate. That's Bernie.
