I thought the following take on MDA was on point as to why we fail as a team: We make zero adjustments when our 3s aren't falling. Only rim finishers are Harden and Westbrook, everyone else struggles putting the ball on the floor and finishing. Even EG...

Bring on the haters baby... And whimpy, fair-weather Houston can go dig a hole while I grab another beer.

H-Town is going to make noise this year.

    Every team has a weakness.

The team that stays healthy, has their stars deliver, and role players step up, is the one that wins, provided they are good enough to begin with.

Rockets aren't perfect but they aren't that far off from the best teams.

Bucks leading star is a question mark because of his outside shooting. He struggled to deliver for the Bucks against the Raptors last playoffs.

The Clippers lack a point guard to run their offense.

The Lakers lack a point guard to run their offense and Anthony Davis struggles in 4th quarter.

Those are the three top teams and they all have their own question marks.

To me the only team ahead of the pack is the Bucks but even they are not in the unbeatable class.

If Harden and Westbrook play at an elite level in playoffs, I like our chances against anyone.

Austin rivers is our sixth man!?!?

Ricky Rubio gets better numbers and more points than Austin rivers.

Don't know how Ricky Rubio gets buckets in the nba!

The Rockets dodge a myriad of younger stars that are mostly in the East, the West have veteran stars.

    Giannis
    Simmons/Embiid
    Jayson Tatum and Jaylen
    Pascal Siakam
    Oladipo and Sabonis
    Bam Adebayo

.......By the time they get out of the West...

When you cant hit open outside shots you cant succeed. This is true whether that open shot is a 3 pointer or a 20 footer. This has always been true and even more true since they took away the old illegal defense rules so teams could much more easily pack the paint. Almost all successful modern defenses are designed to take away shots inside and dare you to beat them from the outside.

If the Rockets decide to not shoot 3s and instead shoot 20 footers they are going to get swept in the first round. No team can score enough points without 3s unless you have maybe a historically great defense.

Which is why they brought in Westbrook, so...not sure what the topic/question here is?

    Wha???

Now THAT philosophy is a recipe for failure. Good teams adjust...you're saying if you adjust you can't succeed. I would disagree most vehemently. When you can't hit outside shots you need to drive the ball, create fouls. Get in more of a rhythm

    Lol dodge...

Most of the names on that list suck.

Other than Bucks would gladly take any of those matchups.

Bruuuuh. We've seen PLENTY of Russ & Harden & MDA in the playoffs. So. I don't like our chances against anyone.

Not the Rockets...and they lost. They did just as you advocated, and lost. Do you prefer losing?

But what if you're not getting calls? We can't act like that hasn't happened.
