Ibaka and Derozan might be the missing pices for this team. How they get them with out loosing Westbrook, Harden, and Cov, is beyond me, and adding some good bench squad around there. I see a new coach as well coming in, i mean this will be Mike last year. Possible lost to jazz in first rd upset is quite possible, i mean you got to admit they are really good team.
DeRozan is allergic to shooting 3's, so how is he the answer to a 5 out system? Would love Ibaka, but Raptors love Ibaka even more.
How about those fans that have pathetic lives that need a stimulant every year? How are they suppose to feel? How fair is it to them? This team has enough pieces but just require the right type of coaching.
I find it interesting that with MDA on his last year and not having been renewed that we just basically went 'all in' on small ball and gave up future 1st RP's So, I guess this means 1 or more of the following: 1) MDA 'could' be renewed 2) Morey is just sold on the concept 3) Luxury tax RULES
Cant agree with anything being about next year. Its all about Right Now. MDA doesn't have a contract for next year and its quite possible Morey is outa here too. The only reason those two men went this route is because they have nothing to lose by doing so if they are both gone at seasons end anyway (unless they pull off the miracle and win it all). If you are at all secure , believe your job is safe .... You don't do something this radical. You only do stuff like this when you have one foot out the door or as a last resort. This is radical .... too radical to believe its about the future.
Soooo 10 yard line? Take 3 cracks at it - then kick this thing away? What “major” piece could Gordon realistically help to attain? I don’t see a big market. I think this team will surprise in the playoffs THIS YEAR.
Part of me feels that we are looking to make a major move this off season to truly solidify this roster and make a proper push for next season. This roster just doesn't make sense to me at all. I feel like we are just gathering assets to get that last star. But why trade all the draft picks then? This Morey man is confusing.
