The mistake was not going to it to start the season and getting a head start on this 5-out process with an ENTIRE season to learn. And also have more time to add the proper depth pieces.

We lose on a buzzer beater to a good team that stomped us on the glass. These dudes are professional knee jerkers

uh oh Max Kelleman seems to be with the rockets strategy, thats all that matters. #MaxHive

Hopefully Bruno will be the interior defense Rockets need to make this thing work.

Missing 4/5 that could defend, rebound, rim protect is 6'10 Jonah Bolden.

    Need him now.

Apparently that buzzer beater changed everything. When we go on a winning streak after the all star break, I'm interested in seeing how the narrative adjusts. When we win it's "well it won't work in the playoffs". Whenever we lose its " this will never work". When we start winning playoff series it will be that the other teams players had some mysterious injury or that they didn't have enough talent.

Winning it all is still the only way to silence the doubters. I knew that everyone would knee jerk as soon as that shot went in.

Didn’t watch but let me guess, one person thinks it’s wrong and the other person thinks it right so they debate.

Well...no...small ball is fine. This is the proper way for this roster to play, for better or worse.

Trading Chris Paul for Russell Westbrook remains the *actual* mistake. Small ball is simply mitigating the damage that's been done by that trade.

I agree with you. All this house on fire stuff is just ridiculous. I've seen it here every year since 1999. We lose an embarrassing game against a bad team or even just lose via a buzzerbeater the alarmists come out. Each time the fire "Coach X" threads go into overdrive and the "owner is an idiot" threads flourish. Then when something nice inevitably occurs the famous morey photos appear repeatedly.

But then I guess that is why we are "FANatics" so it seems to go with the territory. However maybe some of these highly energized folks should take a step back and take a breath.

    1. Against lakers perfection

    2. Westbrook was out but we just couldn’t stop the hot players on the suns, it happens

    3. lucky buzzer beater

Covington looks solid and actually helps us more in my opinion. Great all around player who’s gonna be great to have to guard the SFS in this league or centers in our case lmao

Yes, it is a mistake, because it makes the Rockets worse.

There is no rim protection and Harden and Westbrook are poor defenders.

Our 3pt shooters are average at best - we don't have the horses to play offense or defense, and we have shut Harden's window for him by bringing in his buddy.

Playing small ball with inferior players is not going to win anything.

We might win a few games in the regular season, but this will end in disaster.

Even if we won the game it wouldn't have changed their view. The Rox goals should be to get the personnel for the playoffs to execute at a high level

*Rox lose in game 7 of the finals on an OT buzzer-beater.*

"See? It doesn't work in the playoffs!

Pj is no Draymond, not as versatile and can't playmake, the D might be resembling.

    Donkey just younger and faster.

This is an important chess piece.

Small ball. Big ball. Medium ball. Style doesn't matter. This team isn't good.

If the Lakers shot better, they would have won too.
