Exactly. The only other way we can counter is with excellent perimeter defense and slowing the pace down to a grind to take away the transition threes from the opposition. Like what CP3 gave us in that first year.
We don't have a single person on the team that shoots the three over 38%.

He didn't lose his role because of injury. If his attitude towards coaches and how to play "the right way" was better, he would still have a place on Heat, because he is a good player.

With cp3 we can win over 30 points easily before, now it is difficult

I believe we have two spots open. That's what people keep saying. Could be wrong.

If that was true, then what in the world are we doing??

the teams gamble is fairly self evident. They believe we have the best small ball lineup in the league, and with some luck, we can win a championship with that. Milwaukee concerns me some, but they do have one flaw...if you take Giannas out of the game, their secondary playmakers don’t work well in the playoffs. Rockets don’t have that problem.

I'm really curious to see how small ball holds up against your giannis', embiids, and tacko falls of the world

The "small ball" formation is an interesting alternative of the game, teams can achieve good results with it. But it should be exactly that, an alternative. When the "small ball" becomes your only system the problems start to get bigger and bigger. The Rockets do not have the players or the proper rotation for this system. :(

Yea usually because other teams actually hit 3’s well when they go small

Yall over-analyzing... this game is about talent. Even more would agree with that. And this team doesn't have enough of it.

    Tacko Fall?

LOL, small ball erased Rudy Gobert from Jazz line up and you are worried about someone who only plays during blow outs?

Yes, we lose our small ball advantage when other teams go small. Just like we almost beat Golden State's death lineup with our own small lineup rather than Capela being in there. The whole point is to take advantage of the positional mismatch and stretch out the floor. When other teams take their bigs out of game they can compete against our gameplan on equal footing. That's where the talent advantage of Westbrook and Harden is supposed to come in. If they don't have it going we'll struggle.

Playing smallball doesn't mean we'll win every game. Having superior talent doesn't mean we'll win every game. The only question is what puts us in the best position to win and Morey seems to think that going small 100% of the time is the optimal strategy.

Anyone of the first two with Waiters would be incredible. For the people knocking waiters I would love to have him when Harden and west are chucking up bricks. Somenights the dude is just fuego.

But we seriously need another perimeter defender in the worst way. MKG would be amazing

They traded for Russel, this is 100% about making him comfortable and HOPING for the best.

I contend that trading for him in the first place shut the window on Harden's Rocket career.
