Because the skill set can still be useful in spot minutes or situational basketball. Would the rockets want 3 point shooting bigs, sure they would. But guys are just spitballing bigs that are possibly available. You don’t have to late it literally but in context of the actual limited role they would play.

Getting Bryant would be amazing. he does everything, shoots threes, plays defence.......if he is healthy

7 hours ago Bryant (foot) suffered a setback with his sore right foot and is expected to miss "the next few games."

Any way for us to get DJ and stay below the Luxury Tax?

I would consider dealing House/Stein for a player of DJ's ability, even though he is declining.

Bryant can pumpfake from 3 and can drive and make a layup or stop and pop midrange ... he would stop Harden double teams if we keep PJ in corner

As they should be. Bryant is essentially a crappier love child of Enes Kanter and Tarik Black.

House on the other-hand is going to greatly benefit from having less pressure to defend the top dawgs with Rob and PJ.

also I would be a little weary of his injury if they are suddenly willing to trade him. if he is so good and on a cheap contract, why would he be available ?

Nope, based on the tweet, sounds like a center with what would be considered a bad contract

I don't think he would beat out Tyson for minutes, and I'm not so sure he is better than Stein. Stein would be putting up 20-12-2 out in Washington.

Bryant would be ridiculous on this team. I share your concern about his defense, but i think he still has room to develop on that end. His wingspan is insane, and you nailed what i was going to post regarding his finishing ability around the rim. He finishes everything with aggression and authority.

If we get Bryant (and hopefully a stretch 4) go ahead and get the parade ready.
