    Is Caserio bringing in his own cap guy? Is Caserio thought of as a cap guru? I don't know for sure. I hadn't heard that Caserio knew the cap in the same way as, for example, Morey does for the Rockets. Or @BimaThug for that matter.

    As I wrote in the RAC thread, if he was a great cap guy, then why hasn't he had said anything about some of the boneheaded contracts this group has handed out in the recent past? IOW, who cares who the cap guy is if BoB is just going to ignore him anyway?

    Is this the guy that thought it was a good idea to extend Schaub/Cushing when he didn't have too? Easterby is tightening the ship. Not BOB.

    I've heard Easterby doing his evaluation of the Texans org is what lead to Gaine leaving. Did anybody notice Gaine didn't get a sniff when it came to this round of GM hires?

    By using the "flat" organizational structure, certain people have more power than they usually would (Jack Easterby...for one). Like to blame O'Brien, but Jack Easterby is the person who benefits the most for the current organization structure. He wants GM-type power, without the GM title. He may be friend with Caserio, but he doesn't want Caserio to have the GM position because he loses influence. Easterby was with the Patriots for years before he came to Houston.

    O'Brien may have the "defacto GM" power, but others gain player development, scouting, contract, etc... duties that the GM would normally do.
