The fact that you even felt this was thread worthy says it all.

Long before that my friend. Remember Yao and Tmac? Steve Francis? Bobby Sura? Heck, Ralph Sampson? Rockets are a story punctuated by major injuries.

If that was an option, that would've at least been better.

We'd be thriving right now with Jerami Grant

It's not the first half of the season that worries people regarding his health.

Proclaiming he was done or merely remembering the last several playoffs he was a rocket?

Seems some work overtime coming up with narratives that involve various “sects” of CF posters. Some of us feel it’s a lose/lose regardless.

One team is priming an MVP for a playoff run and will coast to the playoffs.

One team needs every win it can get.

He clearly went and got in proper shape once he was traded, was probably motivated to do so by the trade.

Would he have done that had he stayed with us? Who knows.

His diet change and body rehabbing started in February of last year.

Because Paul is trying to prove he isn't damaged goods so he can get traded to a contender. Don't be fooled, Paul knows what is doing.

He had the luxury to phone it in when he played in Houston. He's essentially playing like its a contract year because he wants to get on a real contender and hes trying to show his worth. Don't assume he would have the same season he's having now if he still played in a Rocket uniform. I'm still glad he's done.

don't assume he'd be the same type of player he's been. well that's odd. this is what happens when you assume he's done. he obviously isn't

It is a Derrick Henry situation. CP3 is playing out of his mind because he wants to show other teams that he can still play and wants to get paid for a contending team. It is CP3 playing for a new contract, or in this case showing off to other teams before the trade deadline. As of now, some team may trade for him and pay him according to his contract. During the summer, no one was sniffing CP3 because he rewarded himself a big contract, Rockets were duped. He is motivated just like Henry, who was injured most of his career than on contract year, he is playing out of his mind. Just wait till the trading deadline is over, he'll be on IR with OKC and counting money, or make more State Farm videos.

He's like the fat girl that got dumped. Now she lost all the weight and trying to show everyone how hot she is. He would still be the fat girl in Houston.

You can tell with all the interviews he did that he was pissed he got traded even after he was assured he wouldn't be shopped. That motivation wouldn't have been there if he didn't get traded. He already had issues with Harden and his style anyway. There was no way we were going to shift our philosophy for an unmotivated Chris Paul.
