This is the problem, though, right?

They have like 5 inexplicable losses and it's only Christmas. Playing down to competition has been a staple of the MDA era.

More of these losses will come. It'd be nice if they learned from it and moved on, but they won't.

Just saw the highlights. Someone remind me how Westbrook won the MVP?

Everyone talking about how we can’t beat the Warriors but nobody talking about how the Nuggets lost just as badly to the Pelicans last night.

But that’s just because the media hates us.

    Welp.

    Maybe.

I agree they've dropped too many for sure.

But them losing to the Warriors yesterday doesn't make us an easier out for say the Clippers

I'm not upset about a loss to a struggling team. Stuff like this happens during the regular season. I'm just upset that we lost to this GS team and I had to see them celebrate on Christmas. God I hate that team so much.

The looks have always been there. Harden does that on his own even if we didnt have MDA. So MDA's job should be to prepare for doubles and it looks like he hasnt. Just giving it to Westbroook may work if Westbrook is hot and super aggresive if not we are screwed. Even then Westbrook cant play the entire time Harden does. This is our problem as much as I like MDA YEAR AFTER YEAR. When Harden gets doubled we jack up threes. There's got to be a better plan when Harden is being doubled and the other guys are missing this is the reason we lose every year. Also the idea that he cant do anything because they are missing is silly. He chose these type of personal to play this is his system. I hate when people say that to totally drop any responsibility for a coach. "What is he supposed to do?" If you have to ask someone else you need a different coach. Lets ask the new coach lol

Plenty of times the defense waited 3-5 seconds before they sent the help defender. He could have made his move before the double came.

Also, when he passes out of the double he just stands there allowing the help defender to recover. That 4 on 3 advantage quickly turn into 4 on 4 with Harden standing around the half court line.

    Indeed it doesn't.

I'm skeptical but hopeful deep down inside.

This exact reason is precisely why the Rockets made a strong push for Jimmy Butler.

Wish the rockets felt the same way and played like they care.

I wonder who the next scrub team we’ll lose because of effort will be.

My bet is Hawks or Grizzlies.

Butler definitely would have made this team better as a whole. Not saying Westbrook is bad or anything.... he's still really good, but his shooting has been awful the last 3 seasons or so. Butler would have made us better in the defense, and he's a somewhat of a decent shooter.

I hope Westbrook is going to practice nothing but shooting until his next game, because he definitely needs it after yesterday. If all the other teams start double teaming Harden from the half court, they're simply going to guard Westbrook's lane and let him shoot more shots. I hope we have a solution to this, otherwise we're about to get a crap ton of losses.
