ugly win, but seeing as how Harden took 3/4 of the game off, and Russ actually played really well I'll take it !

 

Player of the Game...

I'm going to give it to McLemore for the 2nd game in a row. He is playing WAY above his pay grade.

 

Russ and Ben were great. Harden by all time great standards was average despite scoring 17 point straight at one stage.

McLemor has turned his career around.

 

Russ was on the court when Suns came back from 13 down. Harden went on a crazy run by himself in the 4th with Westbrook checking in at the 3 minute mark.

 

He or Russ. Russ was key early when we sucked with his energy and getting to the hoop. Also pushed some nice breaks to start the points flowing.

 

OR maybe he has finally flipped the switch.. Rockets have always needed a guy that can shoot. please basketball Jesus let BMAC be the one.

 

Harden goes up and down straighter than just about any nba player on a 3 yet he somehow has a Reggie Miller kickout rep.

There is one set of rules for most players and a complete other set for Harden

 

Really impressed with how Westbrook pushes the pace and makes passes down court that gets guys layups and dunks, particularly Capela. People can mock his triple doubles, but a lot of those rebounds create fast breaks and all eleven of his assists tonight were needed, especially those plays late in the game when it was close.

 

Ben becoming a good rotational player will pay great dividends moving forward. A healthy Eric Gordon, Danuel House and McLemore is some great shooting and athleticism to add to the mix.

 

Bounce back game for Russ. Played great and basically took very few midranges, much better shot selection.

 

I don't believe so much in those plus minus stats. You also have to consider who is on the court with him. If 3 steals, 3 blocks and a triple double are a negative I call BS to those plus minus stats.

MDA's tech was not dumb. He HAS to stand up for his superstar. Booker undercutt Harden on a 3-point shot attempt. Booker has to give space for a shooter to land.

 

Westbrook was amazing tonight, this was him at his very best. He didn't just happen to make shots, he simply didn't take many of them.

There was nothing lucky, he could do this every night next to Harden. This game was only close because Harden had a complete ass shooting night.

 

n remember guys ego will be back...green waiting in the wings for th3efinals(yea i said it), river still trying to find his groove, russ is looking to be rounding in shape..


this isnt even our final form. to me we hqve the most upside of anyteam in the leqgue

Yeah, well, thankfully some of us can just watch the game, ignore the numbers, and see Russ played a terrific game tonight.

So we don't have to look at the +/- to even know that.
