The Rockets scapegoated a player they could've used last year, and now that same dude is ballin. I don't want to hear your opinion about Melo before his Rockets tenure, because none that applies to why the Rockets waived him

Heres another litmus test, lets reverse the situation and see what we got ourselves: Had harden been awarded this fake weekly award, would there be a single person in the world saying 'What? Melo should have won it!' The answer is NO, not a single sane person in the world would have said so. So clearly he didnt deserved it. Any arguments in favor of melo being awarded this are ex post facto rationalizations.
I am quite sure he was not the best player of the past week, as well as he has played. It just shows you the nature of this kind of things.
Insane/sane doesn’t really fit the category of derogatory. It’s neither critical nor disrespectful. There’s no mathematical backing for Melo having won (and I’m actually a huge fan of the guy and wanted him to stay a Rocket).
Rite? Like the breh needs another award. This one might not be substantial but it is an important one too.
Dude your arguments are ridiculous. Lol. Yes Carmelo has had a good career, there is no denying that. That doesn't mean he gets a free ride right now to say that he is a good player. He isn't. He had a couple of good scoring games against some awful defenses, great! He is useless against good defenses and great teams. We have a whole season of OKC games plus 10 games of Rockets games to make that assessment. The moment he needs to start playing defense is going to pretty much be the end for him. I guess the Blazers are a good situation for him right now since there were a dumpster fire prior to him getting there so whether he works out or not doesn't really matter. Melo has always needed the ball in his hands, always.
