Analytics dont take into account the human factor. Bball players are human beings not machines there are a lot of things that dont show up on stats like Cp3's age, health issues and toxic attitude at times.

Cp3 just got traded into a lotto team he probably spent the summer working out like a demon to prove a point. Oth WB spent the summer getting arthroscopic surgery in fact for somebody just out of surgery he played amazingly well remember how bad Gordon Hayward looked last season or Isiah Thomas 2 years ago? In comparison WB looks so much better which just shows how much of a beast he really is.

Will Cp3 still look good once the season is almost over and everyone is heading into the playoffs? I doubt it last year Cp3 looked like dead man walking once playoffs arrived. Meanwhile WB is younger, faster and stronger he is gonna have more left in the tank when we need him the most.

In short making the comparison now is premature because the season barely started. Lets wait until playoffs thats when Harden needs the most help not 1 month into the season.

But what are his stats when he is injured?

That was the main thing about CP3 with Houston, injuries.

What Westbrook has done for our pace and rebounding is worth all of that and more.

What CP3 is good at, Harden is better at (except defense). He was redundant, declining and had a poor attitude.

Westbrook is better in CHM 101, not being old, not getting injured when no one touched you, and dunking.

All I know is that CP3 won't be playing in them. Westbrook will.

CP could no longer help us get a championship. Sure, Westbrook has a lower floor, and can kill us out of a game with his stupid plays, but he also has more upside and can give us a small glimmer of hope. With Westbrook on board and some Morey magic, we can still become a secondary contender after the trade deadline. His transition game and his rebounding have already changed the team. When everyone is healthy and we get in rhythm, and maybe find a 3&D role player, we will up there. Losing 4 picks sucks, and maybe that's an overpay, but we had to do that if we wanted to have a shot during Harden's peak. My biggest problem is that I find it very hard watching this team play when Westbrook is out of control, I can only do 3-4 minutes at a time.

Won’t be able to see until the playoffs when Harden gets some crazy look defense that neutralize(like the Jazz did last year) and we have to see can Westbrook take advantage of all the attention that the defense gives Harden cuz we saw that CP3 couldn’t.

CP3 is averaging only 15 and less than 5 assists while being the primary ball handler. No thanks.

Are you saying cp3 is getting the Germany treatment kobe received? If so, was he getting it while he played for Houston or he just started receiving it while playing for OKC

I grew to like Chris Paul while he was in Houston and wish him the best for the rest of his career and a long, great post-NBA career.

But I am happy with the move. I think that it will pay off in the long run.

I think defenders figure out what the refs will allow.
They IMO foul more and get called less . . . . people point this out as a fact of the playoffs
When in reality it is just cheating and refs point shaving and fixing games

Having different rules in the playoffs is just point shaving and cheating

We'll likely see going forward who's better, at least for us, especially in the playoffs, there's really no point in thinking too much about it now.

He’s a better player. He is not as physically gifted, but he’s a better player. This shouldn’t surprise anybody.

Regardless how you feel about Paul, it can’t be denied that the trade was stupid because of the insane amount of assets we gave up to execute it.

How d hell is Cp3 the better player? When it comes to individual accolades WB has more. When it comes to team success WB has been to d finals Cp3 didnt even get past 2nd round before Harden hard carried him to WCF. WB isnt just more physically gifted he is also 4 years younger and is healthier. Whether in terms of accomplishments or their value as assets WB is the better player, that shouldnt even be a debate at this point.

Secondly we didnt give up an "insane" amount of assets people who keep saying **** like we mortgaged the future or some other BS just show they dont understand exactly what the Rockets gave up for WB. Study the trade details first, then tell me how essentially 2 low first rounders is an "insane" price to upgrade from Cp3 to WB.

if anything Morey can flip Westbrook for the assets or great role players if the fit is not there in a blink of an eye.... he could make a team an instant po contender in the east or an instant contender if on the right team in the west

No, he can't. To both the "Morey can flip Westbrook for a great return!" notion and Westbrook making a team an instant contender.

If you could flip Westbrook for great assets and/or great role players, Presti would have done that.

    1) Look at the title of this thread

    2) It doesn’t matter where those draft picks fall. The point is we gave up 2 picks and 2 swaps for AT BEST a marginal upgrade, though a worse fit and worse playoff performer. And by doing so..we are pretty much out of assets going forward.

Some of y’all are truly in denial

CP3's career was on CPR last year and doesn't look much better this year. He couldn't get by his man on offense and couldn't stay in front of his man on D.

We have a legit chance at the PG and SG both posting a triple double every night. we never had that with CP3.

CP3 was a punk before he was here and I tolerated him while he was a Rocket. WB0 was a punk before he got here but now he's our punk so I'll take it. The team is better with WB than CP3.
