Remember him like two years go saying he'd move backt to Groningen after his Bayern career and coach there, so this is nice to see. Seems he realized how much he loves Munich and wants to stay. Would love to have him working for Bayern in some position, he always seemed like an intelligent and upstanding guy.
Pochettino sacked by Tottenham. We wanted him last summer and held meetings, so with our current search for a coach this is funny timing. Hope it doesn't get in the way of long-term plans and appointing the best fit (ten Hag or Tuchel).
Seems it's likely to happen, not sure how to feel about this. Would prefer a German speaking coach like Ten Hag or Tuchel.
Pochettino's application letter for a Bayern job was impressive. 2-7 Yeah, let's hire the coach who was in charge of the losing team.
Beat Basel with 7 goals and bought Shaqiri, beat Barca with 7 goals aggregate and bought Thiago, beat Donezk with 7 and bought Costa. Beat Tottenham 7-2 and go for Pochettino. It seems to be a weird fetish, heh.
Pretty brutal how Bayern players say that they now have clear instructions and know what to do on the pitch, seems Kovac didn't to **** when it comes to actual coaching. Also saying how they now get to play aggressive instead of backing down and allowing the opponent to play. Currently feel like there's zero reason to get a new coach if Flick keeps this up til summer, he's been doing good work at DFB as well and players think very highly of him.
Yes - people forget that he won the World Cup as Loew's assistant. I was told by someone "we won despite Jogi, not because of him...". Flick is a good guy.
