I'm just gonna leave this right here with no further comments other than if you want to watch an "oops" moment, start watching at 6:05 and then watch for a bit less than 2 minutes as they demo the glass :

LOL. Every time he looked back at the demo screen, he would glance at the window and get pissed off.

It looks like a car that belongs in a dystopian nightmare.

This scares me, kill it and Musk with fire.

    Ford won't stand for this.

    Shelby 150 v Tesla

And they'll build it in 90 days, just in time for Christian Bale to drive it to the Oscars

Doesn't matter, he'll just upload his consciousness into Muskbot 2.4 and keep on giving us flamethrowers and ridiculous trucks and exploding rockets. As it should be.

my brother's first engineering job in the Air Force was shooting Canada geese (among other things) from cannons into airplane cockpit windshield glass to get better, more bullet-proof glass. Tesla is WAY behind the times on this one.

    NYT article on the unveiling:

Its design ensured it would certainly stand out on the road. Looking little like traditional pickup trucks, the Cybertruck, which will start at $39,900, has a stainless steel exterior with a triangular roof.

“Trucks have been the same for a very long time,” Mr. Musk said at an event in Los Angeles. “Like a hundred years, trucks have been basically the same. We want to try something different.”
there's a reason for that . . . I don't see the "pickup" in this pickup. This is an SUV if it's anything.

an El Camino can tow and haul, but that doesn't make it a pickup truck ;)
