What ??? Baltimore open up as a 4 point favorite against the Texans next week.
Vegas is saying Baltimore is a 1 point fav on a neutral field.
This is huge respect for our Texans.

I would have guessed Baltimore -7. I follow spreads closely. I never bet on my Texans; but always look at the spread.

Eh. I would take the -4.

Texans are good against the run, and Jackson can’t really throw.

we are going to light them up. Win by 10+.

Texans should play zone so their eyes are always on Jackson.

A win puts us #2 in the conference with a 1st round bye. Franchise has never finished with either.

    So huge. Let's go!

Sell out against the run and spy the QB.

Make Jackson throw deep and often.

Turn this game into a "who is a better QB" contest between 8 and 4.

    Win the shootout.

The numbers might say otherwise but I always feel a little better going against a team coming off a blowout win and/or a big win against a good opponent. Ravens have done each in their last two weeks.

Just like how I felt like we would lose in Indy after beating the Chiefs and it happened.

Also helps that we should have Tunsil, some of our secondary and hopefully Fuller back.

Ravens are 2nd in the league against the run.
Our oline is going to have to play really well.
The only advantage I can see is they are coming of a very short break while we are off a long one.
I hope you are right but I ain't feeling it.

Hasn't Deshaun Watson never lost a game by more than one score?

The game is going to be close. I expect more money to come in on the Ravens which will push the line to 5/5.5 by kickoff.

vs JAX 7-29 (1 year game 1, granted he didn't start but did play the majority)

    vs KC 34-42 (1 year game 5)

Then of course the Colts playoff fiasco.

I put $100 on Baltimore at the spread.

I will say this, if the Texans some how manage to win the game I will be very impressed.

One thing defending against standard running...

It's another thing defending against QB running at will on broken plays.

We'll see what happens, hopefully it is either a blowout for the good guys or at least a fun game.

Pray to whatever God you believe in that Roby, J-Jo, Gipson, and Lonnie Johnson are all healthy for this one. Also, hope that Conley continues his improvement. If we can sell out on the run, and the secondary can protect and patrol the middle of the field, I like our chances. Oh, and keep the defensive turnover streak alive.

I was telling my friend that this game should make or break Lamar Jackson's MVP campaign.

Either he gets shut down or throws for 350.

I think you play man, which we can do well. You key on the run. Have someone like Cunningham spy Lamar. Make him beat you through the air.

We will give up a lot of long gains and touchdowns, and I'm OK with that. I want Jackson taking chances.

I trust that Deshaun will make fewer mistakes than Jackson and that is enough to win us the game if we keep the score close.

How about he throws for 400 but it's not very efficient and he has 2+ turnovers.

Yeah, not going to count games he didn't get first team reps all week (which also happened to be his first appearance ever). And the KC game fills the requirement of being a one score game.

So, as a starter in the regular season, Deshaun Watson has never lost a game by more than one score. Hope that fulfills your requirements.

They merely need to cover at this point... which would mean you losing if Baltimore wins on a FG (which wouldn't surprise many, even if its still a loss).

I just think all teams now are a lot closer than anybody really realizes as long as you have an elite QB. New England's biggest advantage is that in a one game, winner takes all scenario... they have a coach who is the best scheme/game-planner of all time in all sports... and a QB who continues to be able to execute when the pressure is highest, despite being very old.
