Wow, what a game. I missed it since I was playing basketball (but we were following the score). But it was crazy. I do believe that before the two red cards there was a clear foul made against Blind. That changed everything.
Would really like to have him, but hope we only let go of him in summer if there's a really capable replacement (ten Hag or Tuchel?) secured.
If you had followed Wenger's philosophy (both in terms of incoming transfers, player management and development, and tactical approach) for the last 5-10 years, and particularity his last 3 seasons at Arsenal, you would stay away from him. This is not the shrewd, ruthless, win at all cost Wenger from 20 years ago. The Wenger you would be getting today would be a relic that is way past his expiration date. And I say this as a fan of Wenger of old, and someone who still has a lot of respect for him. I have always rooted for him even when he infuriated me. Arsenal's fault wasnt in letting Wenger go. They should have axed him years ago after he sabotaged his own chances to win league titles on multiple occasions. Arsenal fault was replacing him with a complete disaster in Emery. I have watched football for decades and followed several leagues and international teams, but I have never witnessed a more clueless manager than Emery.
So in reality Wenger was approached by Bayern and said he'll need some time do decide, but Bayern lied about the ordeal and said he initiated contact first and was rejected. Man what a **** club we've become, should replace the entire front office, it's unbelievable how disrespectful they behave.
Even if Wenger had called them first, it would have been completely unnecessary and unprofessional by Bayern to say that. If they called first, itiseven worse to lie about it. Just embarrassing.
A bigger disgrace is that they left it at Bayern dumped Wenger and made it sound more melodramatic than it was. Should have said nothing or two sides agreed to stop negotiations. Tell the truth or shut the f up.
Disgraceful by Bayern Munich if true. And frankly, based on how the club has handled business and press over the last couple years, it is not surprising. Wenger might not be good anymore as a manager but he is still a gentleman and a well respected person .
Over the past month or so I have been seeing an extraordinary amount of epic post goal soccer slides -- I'm talking Geico level mega slides. Well done boys.
time to jump ship and join elefsee breh. enjoy our incredible journey to greatness... until we inevitably suck again, then you can join another club.
Doppelpass attacking Salihamidzic a bit and a mad Uli, sounding like he drank 10 beers, calling in to attack everyone and desperately defending Brazzo. Another embarrassing moment.
Think it even got worse, nowadays seems like a complete amateur when it comes to approaching media and never knows when to shut up. Can't imagine the pre-jail Uli doing these dumb statements weekly or that infamous press conference to attack the media.
