    or this?

    https://www.cnn.com/2019/10/04/politics/trump-xi-hong-kong-protests/index.html

"hey man the trade deal (money) is more important than that protesting ****." and the same people who go ape **** if you criticize dear leader are now front and center talking about how dare the NBA put money over Hong Kong protests.

this isn't an NBA or black athlete issue: it's an AMERICAN issue. it's how our companies and people behave almost universally. "don't F with my money."

It doesn't even have to be 15% of your income. Would you give up your Iphone for the Hong Kong protesters?

It was wrong of LBJ for sure but it shows clearly that they just need a target for their hatred.

The guy makes 40 millions. If I were him I could sleep well losing 50% of it.

Hell no. I wouldn’t give up a dime of my money to interfere with foreign affairs. China and HK can figure out their own problems.

The US has enough internal issues to worry about. We have cops sneaking around in people’s backyards and then shooting them through the window, for instance.

    If I'm making $15mil/year, 15% = $2.25 Mil
Yes, that's a lot of money. But so is $12.75Mil PER YEAR!! (MORE THAN ANY OF US WILL MAKE IN A LIFETIME)
And let's not forget additional endorsement earnings (which for most are likely not affected by China)

Hard to feel sorry for privileged celebrities and athletes who no longer have to live in the real world
but yet, try and tell us what's best for us working folk.

This is quickly turning into a D&D thread.

You should have posted this there. Not in the GARM.

I don't think murrey really understood the issue when he made the tweet, and from him deleting his tweet, and his following it looked like he learned more about the situation. Now if Rockets became an anti-China organization, that would be a different story, I would probably watch Rockets for a different reason, like how Cavs fans watched Heat Lebron u know :p

This is such an obnoxious, paternalistic use of the poll feature on this forum: asking a question that makes some big assumptions and answers that create a false dichotomy. I am abstaining and everyone else should too.

It's a simple question, why would it be false?

There are some racist people everywhere, you just can't avoid. These people deserve to be called out. They do not represent Hong Kong's value. Hong Kong is a multi racial city and the degree of discrimination in Hong Kong is not high. I am really sorry.

Voted no. Should have been a - **** no - option also. Would have voted for that. I'm not mad at Morey. I'm not mad at LeBron. Stand up for what you believe in? Cool. Stand up for your own self interests? Cool.

I would gladly give up 100% for freedom, peace, equality, healthcare, and food for everyone on earth. But that's utopia and will never exist on earth. So I'll speak up for freedom, peace, equality, the needs of the needy, and donate as I can.

Wow, some serious leading questions in here.

    1) An NBA player would lose, AT MOST, 7.5% of their income if they had zero endorsement deals.

    2) Do people really not think that mainland China is also racist? It’s actually even worse than HK.

CCP bots are in full effect today.
