DOD has confirmed that Turkey fired on US positions today and the DOD condemned Turkey's invasion of Syria (which Trump publicly approved of) and threatened defensive measures if they continue to fire on positions where US troops hold ground.
Turkish troops or militia? If it's militia I'd bomb them. If it's the Turks I would decimate their economy, bigly. @cml750 What does bible prophecy say about this?
Trump is brilliant military strategist and stable genius. He is supporting our troops by keeping them alert.
In the bible, it says "Those that selleth out their own troops because of personal financial gain shall be blessed as will the nation under the rule of he who admires and praises dictators."
Yet 40-45 percent of voters think he is worth keeping around. This is a MASSIVE foreign policy mistake and would gut most Presidents, but it isn’t even the biggest scandal/**** up surrounding the President right now.
This... Trump doesn’t give a damn about any of this. He needs a diversion so I’m guessing it is time for him to start flirting with North Korea again or maybe look for a new wedge topic... he’s kind of played out the Mexicans and Muslims.... maybe single moms that smoke weed? Help me out here, he needs another group to **** on. Interracial couples maybe? Perhaps disabled Americans that “force fed us the very expensive Americans With Disabilities Act. Sad - very sad!”
This is very concerning but I would be very careful about jumping to any conclusions right now. The fog of war is a real thing and Syria is one of the foggiest.
yes it really is. Its really telling that regardless of which end of the political spectru mthe military is on, they all unanimously agree that it is absolutely shameful to abandon the kurds this way.
First of all, this was by mistake. But fake news is more interesting than real news so I get why you rushed to make this thread.. Im general, we cannot and should not demonize America for pulling troops out of unstable countries. Now more than ever you just have to let em deal with it and accept the financial losses.
I'm not only blaming Trump for this by the way. The Europeans are the ones who will - as Trump actually rightly pointed out - feel the aftermath of the Kurds being abandoned the most. But they do absolutely nothing to help them.
What the hell are our troops still doing there? Trump still has not brought them home. His mistake. Also it sounds like Kurds positioned near the US to bait a close shelling. Very likely. No one died on our side but it would be a wise move to use US positions as a meat shield. It is highly unlikely the Turks were ordered to kill US troops considering the fallout that would create. More likely a stupid or scared officer got panicky. The only advantage Kurds have is experience in this terrain but they will still get cleaned out in short time.
