So is it just me or we aren't as deep as they say?

What I saw last game is players who played like they coated their fingers with butter and then ate the worlds greasiest chicken.

Austin Rivers shot has been off since CP3 got back from his injury last year. Almost all of our wings can't pass, dribble, or shoot.

I just think it will be like last year with a lot of hype but no delivery.

    Clemons is looking good though.
    Westbrook is just chucking 3's.
Clark is probably going to get waved or traded.
Thabo didn't play last game but was looking good.

I think we have a solid 8 man rotation but I don't expect us to be as deep as we think we are.

CF always thinks we have this deep rotation and then the playoffs come around and guys can’t play or else they’ll get exposed...or their limited offensive ability starts to shine through

I hope no one has started hyping up the likes of Ben McLemore

Clark is garbage to me...never once been impressed...doesn’t hit shots and looks so slow out here

    Of course not.
It's never as good as it seems.

First half of the season/right after the deadline: "Wow, we're 10/11 deep! Our bench is great! Do we have the deepest bench in the West/league?"
Playoffs: "We only have 6 playable guys! Our bench sucks! *grumble grumble grumble*

    :D

The Rockets need more high end depth.

A really solid 3/5 wing with a long wingspan, solid mobility that can shoot the 3 and rebound would make all the difference in the world.

It’s just you. This team is deep with veterans. Stop over reacting to preseason. This team is a lot better than the team that started last season.

Rivers shot 46% from 3 in the playoffs my dude. Also literally all of our wings can shoot what are you talking about lol.

Players that can be trusted in the playoffs...

    - Harden
    - Capela (kind of)
    - Westbrook (kind of)
    - Gordon
    - Tucker
    - Rivers
    - I'll go ahead and throw Thabo in there as well

No, the Rockets should not be considered "deep" at the moment, but the potential is there. They *really* need House to step up.

Yeah this is true, I see it as two different things - regular season depth and playoffs depth. Both are important, and as for regular season depth, we are stacked. Guys like Gerald Green and McLemore can win us a game in November by hitting 7 3s. Clemons may start really well before hitting the rookie wall. Ryno will play well on road games. That all matters when it comes to winning games in the slog of the regular season and getting a high seed/home court while taking some of the burden of Harden.

However, playoffs depth is completely different. Right now we have 6 guys we can bet will show up. That's our starters + Rivers. You then hope House is viable, Thabo is healthy, and Chandler can play passable minutes. The rest shouldn't be getting minutes deep in the playoffs. But the season hasn't started yet. Having possibly 8 guys already is great. Compare it to the rest of the league and you start to feel good about our team. How many playoff guys does Philly have? Or Milwaukee? Or the Lakers?

I think we're plenty deep. First, we haven't seen a single game where they're playing all of our rotation guys because they're still trying guys out and we've had guys with minor injuries, etc. Second, we needed the additions of Rivers and Faried last year. This year they'll still add another guy or two before the season is over. And Austin Rivers and Thabo put us in a much better position than we were in last season. I'd also say that the addition of Westbrook puts us in better position depth wise because he doesn't tend to miss 25 games a season like CP3.

Our bench basically are full of G leaguers.

    That’s deep?

    Harden
    Westbrook
    Gordon
    Tucker
    Capela

    Rivers
    House
    Chandler
    Thabo
    Green
    Nene

Some of those guys are older and can't play massive minutes. Some of them can't even play but every other game. But they're all NBA players. No G Leaguers in the rotation. I'm really not sure what you're talking about.

Well I know Blossomgame is likely going to have an MVP caliber season this year but he has played plenty in the G league and I was trying to make a hater see reason. Knew he wouldn't have the deep understanding of basketball that I do to see Blossomgame's true potential.
