I suppose they think Curry can run wild without Durant's numbers and they always love AD, even if he always seems injured.

LBJ always seems de facto #1.

Note: Shouldn't the thread title be changed from 7 to 6?

He is at worst the 2nd best player in the league

Durant would get voted ahead of Harden, as always. So, for measuring against previous seasons, he's really #7

Duh. Just saw the "counting Durant".

Or maybe they think Russ's presence will make Harden put up smaller numbers across the board.

Most likely just another day in favorite / popular players being voted ahead of Harden. The Lakers mystique / bling is powerful.

Durant can easily go as #1, so yeah, list is correct.

Yet, AD and Lebron are on the same team. And Kawhi/George are, too.

Lebron absolutely does not belong at #1 after the year he just had.

Clearly China is at work here oppressing Harden with this propaganda.

The way he was schooling the Raptors long defensive stud wing players tells me they will regret making that list

Yes, I did notice that. But I'm sure we agree that Houston does not have the PR machine of the LA teams, or LBJ's CV.

I've said it before, if Harden saved a young child from drowning in an abandoned well, the media would say, "Steph would have saved her faster."

Westbrook at 19 is the bigger story. Other media outlets have him around 12-13. I'm sure now that he's a Rocket, we have to pick up the WB mantle. But after the year he had last year, I'm not so sure that he doesn't deserve this ranking. He's the X-factor on the team, and it's gonna be scary to see his start to the season. Everyone will have to just remain calm until New Years', because he does have a lot of room for improvement as he finds his fit in the rotation and at the end of games with Harden.

I think it's about right. Harden hasn't shown that he can carry a team when it counts the most. Playoffs success is more important than regular season stats.
