I am watching today's game in between reading about Uighur concentration camps and opium wars. Is he a liability as a starter and a luxury as a backup? Harden is still in galactic mode. He's thus useless in halfcourt and not much fun unless he gets a head of steam. Pretty pointless on D too.
To spread the floor for Harden with his outside shooting and also for leadership down the stretch in close games, where shot selections matter most.
Hopefully to snatch about 7 rebounds and 2 steals a game. Drive and kick to gordie for 3 about 5 times a game as well.
To oust the peeps that never actually watch Westbrook. He is getting back from an offseason knee surgery and just started scrimmaging. Go watch his tape the last 3 years. He is just getting his timing back. Relax.
Last season CP3 couldn't get the bench to generate anything. The ball seems to move much quicker with Westbrook running the bench unit.
Those pull-up's were painful to watch, especially when he had a man close to him or in his face. Hopefully MDA finds ways to limit those opportunities, like multiple screens perhaps. "Hey Brodie, here is another screen, so ignore that shot and keep moving!" Kind of like tugging the treat away.
He needs to stop shooting so many threes. Rockets have a whole bunch of guys who excel at doing that. Russell needs to just play to his strengths: passing, rebounding, defense and attacking the rim.
I didn't mind the pull up threes nearly as much as the long two's. That's not to say I didn't mind the pull up 3's as those were terrible too. I do expect him to shoot more open 3's once the season starts however and attack the basket more, but the price of having Brodie on the team is that he will have those... ill-advised shots every game he plays.
Clutchfans summary: Westbrook don't pull up, Ryno pls pull up you p***y, Rockets Staff: everybody needs to pull up.
1. Sofa king glad it's not another China thread 2. Stop posting while intoxicated. 3. See # 2 4. Peace
This, and only this. He just will not accept that he is not a shooter though. All he has to do is never shoot 3s and his strengths can easily outweigh his weaknesses. Not only is he a poor shooter, but he takes the worst kind of shots, and those shots are basically turnovers because the other team gets the long rebound and starts a fast break. It’s so simple, yet he just won’t stop. I don’t see how you come off literally the worst volume shooting season in HISTORY, get embarrassed in the playoffs, and you still don’t understand you are not a shooter?
This is already a stupid question but in the playoffs when Harden gets tired and Westbrook is killing defenses because they are scared to leave Harden this question will be even dumber.
