Silver: Yao is "extremely hot" right now

    Couldn't find a thread on this. Yeah, I know it's another China thread, but most of us have been curious as to what Yao's take on this situation would be. Now I suppose we know where he stands. I'm not terribly surprised, but I was hoping for something more nuanced. Maybe we'll still get that once he says something on the record.

    Adam Silver said in his recent press conference that that Yao was "extremely upset", "extremely unsettled" and "extremely hot" about what's going on. He has plans to meet with Yao in Shanghai tomorrow. "I am hoping that together, Yao Ming and I can find an accommodationb, but he is extremely hot at the moment and I understand it."

    Extremely upset and unsettled because they may have threatened his family's life. He's a former employee of the traitorous Rockets, he was probably questioned by Chinese intelligence on what he knows of the Hong Kong insurgence.

    They aren't going to do anything to Yao. He's a global icon.

    He needs to man up and call out the government then move his family to the USA and apply for citizenship.

    Yup. I posted on it a couple days ago.

    Rockets reached out to Yao and he wasn’t having any of it.

    Yao is very tight with the CCP andrecently received one of the highest honors given by the CCP.

    Yao should know Morey very well. It seems to me that Yao firmly believe Morey's intention was anti-China.
    Maybe Morey is a Trump voter?
