Yao had the weight of 1,500,000,000 people on his shoulders, took everything in stride with a joke.

Never cried like a b**** or used his fans to stroke his broke ego.

My son, China has not forsaken you. Go East young man.

    "Jeremy Lin’s Reign in China

For the second consecutive season, Jeremy Lin was the most popular NBA player in China, after now joining the Beijing Ducks. He is the most followed basketball star online with a combined 12.5 million followers on Weibo and Douyin, as well as the highest average engagement. Many argue globally that ‘Linsanity’ is over, however the data shows it still lives on in China

The problem is that China is where careers go to die.

They are going to realize that this guy is no good because he's not going to work hard and improve.
He's only there for his ego , despite all the christian bible verse dropping, people can see that image and ego is more important to him than the game.

lin inched his way closer and closer to china after going to Toronto. It was a foregone conclusion that he had already left the united states!

    Melo hated Linsanity in NY.

No way in hell he plays in Jina.

So true. Can't imagine him entertaining questions like, "what was it like being Jeremy Lin's teammate?"

The culture is different in china. L
in was not drafted if I remember correctly so the entire organization doubted lin from the beginning. Melo doubted him as did the entire knicks organization and the nba doubted lin which is why he was never drafted in the first place.

Honest Question: If he were in the league .. . would he be the worse player in the league?
Would be the worse player for the money he would be paid?

Of course not. Cannot fault teams for not trying to sign when he looked awful w/ Raptors, the injuries, the attention he brings to this whole prejudice issue and how he’s openly spoken about it.

Anyone can acknowledge the racism and prejudice against Asian basketball players and just like Carmelo deserves a shot just to prove a point, but w/ the whole China thing and to be fair his own play, I just don’t see him making an impact even if he would be signed.
