I remember MDA playing Joe Johnson heavy when he 1st arrived...he just wasn’t good...he couldn’t make shots

we were hoping for 16-17 Utah Joe Johnson, but instead we got the one who needed to call it a day and retire

These clowns. I love how Joe also plays the card as if he didn't know why he didn't play. As @Reeko said already, Mike gave him plenty of time to get him into shape during the regular season and he just couldn't hit shots and was even slower than ever.

Joe should of just made up a lie and said, I was playing through injury and I just couldn't be the player the Rockets brought me to be. Unfortunately, due to my injuries, they didn't play me during the playoffs and teams thought I was done.

That's all he had to say. Mike D was so damn stubborn that year in making sure Joe played. So the Rockets treated him real well while he was here.

Social media is blowing up with casual fans wondering how Joe Johnson isn't lighting up the NBA after lighting up the Big 3. Lots of Lakers fans wanting Lebron to get him signed.

    Thinking is hard.

MDA played him, but played him with James Harden which means he didn't really touch the ball much. If you're a player who can create shots the Rockets aren't the organization for you. The offense has to go through Harden win or lose

It's small ball and James "Bad News" Harden!

MDA played him but he ended up playing himself!

Danuel House had more pop off the hardwood than joe Johnson for sure. Now you can bet that!

Iso Joe had the same downfall as Melo... Not worth feeding, but not good enough playing off the ball. Russell will take CP's place in stride. Different need, different skillset, most importantly: making the players around you better.

I'll say this and you can believe it or not. If Clint does not contribute this post season and ways that resemble steve adams then clint needs to be on the short list to be out the door regardless of his participation for Switzerland in 2020 Olympics!

Joe is a rhythm scorer. We wanted him as a stand still 3point shooter, that's not his game

Yeah we should have let 37 year old Joe Johnson take ISO possessions instead of letting CP3, Harden, Eric Gordon, etc. have the ball.

I can't believe there are a few geniuses here who think its the Rockets or Harden's fault that Joe Johnson couldn't light up the NBA like he is lighting up the F league. 80 year old Cuttino Mobley is a top player in Big3 and no one thinks he should make a come back.

Pretty clear that at this point, Joe is only a halfcourt badass.
