Twitter Battle: Jerry Dudley vs. Rice White

Rockets made a big mistake by drafing this dude, no other team would of drafted him. He probably would of never been known if it wasnt for houston. That was a weak draft, but the only thing positive coming out of that draft was Austin Rivers and Lamb, Considering we traded lamb to get harden.

What I don't understand is why people care about Royce's. Or why this is blowing up the way that it is.

Royce White is just using the Trump/Lavar Ball marketing strategy. Say lots of offensive and controversial things and hope the media picks it up and gives you free publicity. And if famous people criticize your remarks then you say mean things back at them and insult them, hoping this will generate even more free publicity.

 

I guess to be an advocate for mental health reform, you must first prove to everyone that you are mentally unstable. Because you've got to have some screws loose to spout off the garbage that White is spewing.

It's pathetic. But even more pathetic? It will probably work. He provides quotes that get clicks. Small time reporters will go to him and he will provide fiery quotes. Headlines from those quotes will get clicks. And he will have a side hustle.

* to be clear, obviously mental health issues are real and should be taken seriously. I just think that Royce is a fraud

 

First of all...Carmelo is being blackballed for what exactly? Usually a player is blackballed for political reasons or if the player is going against the league for some reason...why would anyone blackball Melo? He doesn't have a criminal record, he's not protesting anything, he's a pretty quiet guy all in all.

Second of all...Jared Dudley is a better basketball player than Royce White. Royce couldn't even light up the G-league and Dudley had a full NBA career so...

 

Melo isn't being blackballed. He's a victim of bad circumstances. He's an aging veteran with a mixed reputation and a lack of free money and roster spots. It's a fit problem.

Royce White is a human turd. As someone who has dealt with mental health issues, I know Royce does more harm than good. At best, he leads to a misunderstanding of what certain diagnoses actually are. His behavior is not symptomatic of "anxiety" or the other labels he gives himself. Anxiety typically makes you anti-social or reserved. It does not cause you to lash-out, constantly ego-stroke, or be a social media warrior. That is something else in addition.

 

There are 2 ways to be sympathetic to mental health issues.

1) See Kevin Love and Demar Derozan. (Explain their issues and how to deal and overcome them. Help people understand.)

2) See Royce White. (Blame all of his faults and non-successes ON OTHER PEOPLE).

I feel sorry for White to have to deal with issues. But I don't feel sorry for him to USE the issue as the BASIS for everything wrong that goes on in his career. You could even make the case that White is HURTING the situation for mental health by being a muckraker.

 

Who's idea was it to interview Royce White anyways? Like his opinion matters lol
