I spoke to someone a few weeks ago about getting a custom Luhnow jersey created. Got it back today. $42 through Etsy.

Luhnow is a martyr. I’d rock his jersey and I’d be just as frustrated as him if I were in his shoes. League ordered his firing to cover up the larger problem—that many teams are doing this. I get that it happened on his watch, but a season-long suspension was more than enough.
Yeah, as more evidence (Cubs, Red Sox, Yankees....) comes out, the more this is a widespread issue. Luhnow and Hinch will be some of the fall guys. I may wear the jersey just to do so.
How do you keep on a guy who is kinda sorta GM but not really for a year when you're trying to get past the PR stink of this, whether that stink is fair or unfair? Luhnow had to be gone. You could make a stronger argument for Hinch, but there is no way in the world you can keep the GM who presides over this stink fest.
By not caring about outside noise or what other people think, which, ironically, was Luhnows M.O. during his entire tenure. Luhnow was both fairly and unfairly blamed for a lot during his tenure here. A lot was out of jealously and anger. He didn’t handle every fiasco right. But his ability to block out the noise and not let popular opinion affect his decisions is something that should be emulated and revered, not discouraged. The minute we let non-Astros (media, baseball execs, etc.) affect what we do...we lose.
Agree. Definitely not ideal, but I think the team *could* have made it work. Especially with how the team is projected for 2020 and that it was just one year.
