Well they won't do as good as the Paul/Harden combo or the Howard/Harden combo.

Clownish. First of all the NBA itself is making sure this team is in the playoffs for revenue/entertainment purposes. This team will be good the biggest question is... HOW GOOD?

Another thing most aren't factoring in is what each superstar had to do for their own individual teams... two different teams with two different philosophies. Now that they are on this team together we are looking at a brand new philosophy in terms of adapting. Stupid to put all these different situational team philosophies against each other and then say the players will FOR SURE not be able to adapt. How the f do you really know?

Does it really matter tho. U think harden needs anybody to do anything other then stand at the 3 point line when he has the ball. U think russ needs anybody to do anything when he has it either. All both guys need is space. Not the lane clogged

I bet you the combination of Harden/Westbrook put up better stats than any of those other combos you just mentioned.

i mean is that something really to be bragging about when guys are chasing stats o_O

not really impressive if it doesn't translate. yeah westbrook can score 20pts. it also takes him 20 shots to get it.

What good are stats when they're sitting at home like us watching the rest of the playoffs.

There is only stat that means anything. at. all. Ws. Will this combo put up a Sweet Sixteen of Ws next spring? That is what matters.

Comehere2 or whatever the name is should get out of this forum. Who gave this nincompoop the right to start a thread? I wonder what has become of Clutchfans. If this thread supposed to be a joke, it's not funny and I don't have time for this stupidity.

Can we make a forum that only this guy, bigbum, and jopat are allowed to post in? We could bundle up everything they say and sell it as a news letter parody. It would raise money for clutchfans and make us more well known too.

Yeah that what's matters but we talking about will the combination work.

But since you brought up winning we know Howard era and CP3 era failed for various reasons but we haven't even seen the Westbrook era yet to rightfully even call it a failure. That's my thing. There lots of factors that are always ignored when you make predictions this early. Little things like two guys playing for Nipsey Hussle who passed away or unknown adjustments to come due to change in the coaching staff which ultimately adjusts the overall philosophy on defense.

OP is publicly setting his expectations very, very low, subconsciously thinking that in the minute chance that something goes badly wrong and we're horrible, he won't be disappointed.

Fine, I understand that. But he and his subconscious should be prevented from enjoying the season when things go anywhere from pretty well to spectacular.

Did you factor that in when Houston acquired Howard or CP3?

How many possessions more do you gain with Westbrook vs CP3 though? There's lots of ways to look at it. Bottom line is winning but to me the story hasn't been told yet on Westbrook/Harden. One thing that benefits this combo is the current state of the league and the rosters.

Isn't this identical to what the so called expert analysts said about CP3 and Beard?
